On October 30, 2022, and November 4, 2022, I purchased bedding from Schweitzer Linen for a total of $1,824.50.Upon receipt I was very happy with the silky feel of the sateen material and quality of the items. I opened the two Euro Shams and King ***** cover and proceeded to try to steam and then iron out the wrinkles from packaging which would not come out. I read the laundering instructions, followed them to a T, and was horrified as they came out of the dryer a terribly wrinkled mess. The wide banding would not steam flat, and it no longer felt like sateen but a very rough material. I tried to contact Schweitzer for several days about this and no one answers the phone nor returned my many voicemails for days. Finally, I was told that I could not return the items that had been washed. The owners and workers were very rude and kept repeating that their bedding requires major work in washing, steaming and ironing that is NOT ANYWHERE indicated on their website. I explained that I am a 67 year old woman, I have both terrible arthritis in my hands as well as a shoulder surgery coming up in January and cannot possibly give this bedding this type of care. They yelled at me and refused to do anything. The point is: If I had been informed in ANY WAY that this bedding requires this much care I would never have purchased it. All the care instructions on their website as well as an instruction sheet included in the packaging is exactly what I did with disastrous results. All I am asking is to return this bedding (I never opened the rest of the many pieces of this bedding set) and receive a refund. Thank you for any assistance you can give me.Customer response
