I have continuously blocked this extremely poor and radically biased emailed copy of Epoch that came to me unsolicited . The emails still keep coming. I attempted to achieve this task online . . . for which they charge a "refundable" dollar. No surprise there, considering the quality of the newspaper. Whatever happened to reporting the truth?

      Business response

      10/30/2024

The easiest way to unsubscribe from all of our emails is to click the link at the bottom of our email to manage your newsletter preferences. A new page will open in your internet browser, and please click click here to manage your email preferences. Another page will open where you can see all the newsletters youre currently subscribed to, and at the bottom of this page, there is an unsubscribe from all button.

I'll make sure to remove your email address from our lists so that you don't get any more emails from us.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I am not a stupid woman, and I DID follow your "unsubscribe" blurb.  Repeatedly.  Daily.  I'm STILL getting these radically biased emails.  Thank you IF you actually follow through.

I had a subscription with them that I have tried to cancel multiple times but they keep trying to charge my card for another month. Over the past week I have received three emails from them stating that they tried to charge my card. After the first email, I went to the site and cancelled my subscription again. After the second email, I sent them an email stating that I cancelled my subscription and if they try to charge my card again that I will contact the BBB. I received my third email today stating that they tried to charge my card again, so that is why I am filing a complaint.

I have been bombarded with spam from a supposed "news" outlet named Epoch Times and I have tried every option on their website to unsubscribe to stop their daily emails. I'm sick of it. I have also sent emails to them directly asking them to cease & desist because I have never signed up for any of their spam because I have never heard of them prior to March 30, 2024 when they began the daily spam of multiple emails per day. I specify the date because I had my identity stolen on, or about, March 1, 2024 and which has been tracked back to a car dealership in *****, ******* in which someone was trying to get a car financed in my name, even through my bank which my bank rejected and informed me about because of the errors in my information. However, whoever did it had my email and apparently my phone number.I demand that not only Epoch Times ceases & desists, but I also demand that they turn over the information on how they came into possession of my personal information in the first place, then I demand that they destroy my private information. I will be updating my currently open ************************ identity theft case to reflect that based on the timeline of the spam beginning that Epoch Times is likely to have obtained my personal information through unethical means and I will ask the ************************ to help put a stop to this.

I continue to receive emails from this far-right terrorist-sponsored "news" organization for which I never signed up. I do NOT support this organization or its activities and I NEVER asked to be on any of its mailing lists. The Falun Gong is a terrorist organization that corrupts the US media and should be removed from all platforms asap.

We werent able to find your information in our email sending system using the email address you provided. Please make sure that you are providing the correct email address. Regardless, I will add your email address to our blocklist. As an independent media organization, The Epoch Times is free from the influence of any government, corporation, or political party, so we are not sponsored by the far right or any terrorist organizations. Additionally, Falun Gong is not a terrorist organization either, it is a spiritual practice combining meditation and gentle exercises (similar to yoga or tai chi) with a moral philosophy centered on the tenets of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance.

I began receiving an online publication the Epoch Times via my email a couple weeks ago. At first the pub was free but when I read the articles, I found that they consisted of primarily right-wing, conspiracy theory, non-scientific propaganda. After a couple issues of complimentary nonsense, the publisher sought a subscription payment. I immediately tried to unsubscribe but the issues continue. Any way to make this stop?

      Business response

      05/11/2024

Hello, if you're still receiving emails after you hit the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the emails, it means that you might be on multiple email lists. Please unsubscribe from each list until you're no longer receiving emails from us. We don't currently have an "unsubscribe from all" button in our emails and I apologize for the inconvenience.

I'll make sure to remove your email address from our lists so that you don't get any more emails from us.
