I purchased a publishing package from Woodbridge publishers in March 2023, which finalized a year later March/April 2024. I did not receive all aspects of the published package (ie interior formatting) and the published book cover was not what I approved. After leaving an honest review on a website, I was repeatedly harassed via email and telephone to remove my review (which is against the consumer fairness act). They offered a prorated refund due to my poor experience but then claimed this was payment for removal of my review (which I never agreed to). They admitted, in writing, that they gave me the refund in exchange for deletion of my honest review - a clear violation of the review websites rules and a clear violation of the consumer protection act. Throughout my experience with Woodbridge, they were unprofessional and lacked the skill set they promised. I feel that they deceived me by promoting books they never published and, from what I assume, influencing online reviews. I wonder how many others may have deleted their reviews because of the tactic of using money to get negative reviews removed. The company is deceptive; I have extensive documentation and email exchanges to support every aspect of this comment.Customer response

In April 2023 Woodbridge Publishing suggested I extend my promotion period for a book they published for me. The advertising manager wrote to me, that momentum is important and should not be broken. At my request, my English manuscript was edited and reposted. I instructed them not to disable the original script that was online for sale till the new script was ready. The promo stoped in April. I asked **************** for the reason for the hold-up, he said he was waiting for my Hebrew manuscript to be ready. THE ADVERTISING I PAID FOR CONTINUTY'S SAKE WAS ON HOLD FOR THREE MONTHS, so decided by *****************Since my original advertising yielded less than $100.00 in royalties, and there was no continuity, I instructed **************** NOT TO advertise and refund my money.I sent **************** three notices, offering to calculate costs incured and refund me the balance of the money. There was no response. In April 2023 I hired Woodbridge ************** to publish my Hebrew script.I met, online, an editor that did a remarkably good job editing my work. When it came to formatting, it was massed it up. Through several emails, over three months, back and forth it got worse. The person working on it does not really know Hebrew. There was no chance they'll deliver satisfacion, as promised. I instructed **************** stop working on the Hebrew script. I have several emails, spaning 4 months, that contain dates and details confirming everything I wrote here. The total costs for formatting, publishing and advertising were $5,500.00 In April 2023, Woodbridge Publishing collected $5,500.00.I sent **************** three notices on both these matters.I told him I no longer want him to publish my Hebrew script.I wrote to him NOT to advertise / stop any advertising campaign on my behalf.I asked him to calculate his costs, and refund my money.Costs that were described when negotiated the deal were:Proof reading Publishing not done.Advertising not done.He did not respond.Customer response

Woodbridge Publishers sold me a "best seller package" to publish my book. Services they said were included were editing, marketing, copyright registration, cover design, etc. They then upsold me as an attendant at the ****** Book fair including more marketing and PR. They have failed to deliver on the majority of what was agreed to and have caused damage to my business and my reputation in the process. Additionally, they are claiming to have worked with multiple best selling authors which influenced my decision to work with them. They are falsely claiming to have worked with these authors and as such are making promises they have no intention of fulfilling.Customer response
