On March 28th 5:59pm Mr Kenji came over to do an estimate. Price was verbally discussed. No invoice received but I still wanted services. I agreed to give a deposit of $2,200. I met Kenji at **** on April 17th weds. despite the unprofessionalism. I gave the deposit. That Friday I reached out to Kenji about an invoice. No response received. On Saturday I acknowledge that Kenji must have been busy but that I wanted to inform him that I found Someone who was willing on doing the job that same Saturday. This is when he finally started to respond. Kenji was upset and called me desperate and even stated “ He should have responded sooner” that he had me scheduled for that following Tuesday. But that’s Something he never informed me of. I apologized but I didn’t want to wait because he told me he wouldn’t be able to get material until May and I assumed late May. He mention he had me scheduled, paid his workers and had bought the materials but work was never started on my home. so I don’t understand why workers were being paid already. I canceled within 72 hours of giving my deposit. I was never given an invoice as promised multiple times and we never had a written contract. Yet Kenji feels entitled to keep my deposit of $2,200. I tried to settle an agreement with him but he declines to refund money. I even offered to pay for his time during the quote process even though I wasn’t informed that there was a charge for a quote or home visit. At the end. Kenji accepted a deposit. Never came again after the first home visit. Never did any work and when I decided to cancel he decline to refund me. As a consumer I have rights and I feel like I communicated as much as I could and maintained respect but I feel like I’ve been cheated and it feels very unfair. .
