  I reached out to NYSERDA, they sent me to the Empower Program, they sent me to the ********** ****, they paired me with this guy Brian guy that promised to make sure this got resolved and that guy brought the owner of Climate Giant,Jason D****** out on Halloween 2023  to look at damages. Jason was then he was instructed to reach out to me to figure out next steps in resolving the damages. 14 days later, I received a letter from Climate Giant’s attorney attempting to bully me. Climate Giant, Jason, claimed that I refused him access to assess damages on my property, as well as refused repairs when I had not had any contact with him Since the project was completed.When they started my project they knew my siding was more than 20 years old and said I would have “some dents”. Their damages have put me in a position where all my siding has to be replaced so it’s not a puzzle of 20+ year old and brand new with an attempt at color matching more than 20 years of sun bleaching. I would not have had to be replacing anything for another 5-6 years and this will financially devastate me. This program has left me with damages that devalue my only investment when it was supposed to add comfort and value to my home. To deal with the entire problem is a $17,000 price without accounting for the water damages under the siding. Climate Giant was also supposed to submit any water damages that were present under my siding during the project to the program for review.On the last phone call I had with Jason on 4/26, Jason was raising his voice at me and being terribly disrespectful. Jason suggested I take a $5,000 vacation and a hike instead of making detrimental repairs to my home. The owner had also sent a strange man to my home to lie to me and gain access to my property. And, he had his siding guy to write that the damages were due to contraction and expansion from hot and cold weather, for insurance purposes.

  We have made every attempt to resolve this issue amicably.  Mrs. **** has other Ideas.  We do not agree with anything she has stated in her complaint, in fact we find most of it an out right lie and much if it misleading.  We have tried, and are still willing to resolve this issue according to the program rules.

  Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Climate Giant was hired to complete insulation on my home at the very end of June 2023. Instead of properly removing my siding, his workers ripped it out of the center, cut off the tabs & left my aluminum siding with hundreds of nail holes, dents, scratches, cracks, & gaps. The workman also backed into my garage with their truck, cut 2 of my window sills, damaged my shutters & gutters. Climate Giant has left me with more than $23k in damages to the exterior of my home. While having windows replaced, the siding around was removed. We found that Climate Giant drilled holes around my addition that was already insulated & blew in cantaloupe sized amounts to make it look like they insulated it themselves and charged $1,200. For a year, I’ve been chasing the company owner Jason D*****. In my experiences with him, he has only operated in bad faith and has not resolved any of the issues caused by his workmen. E.G. of Jason’s bad faith: Sending a man to my home to lie about who he is representing to gain access to my property & info. He had his lawyer send me an intimidating letter claiming I denied him access to assess damages & denied him the ability to make repairs. Funny, bc 2 weeks earlier, he was walked around my home to assess damages with a member of **********. I had NO contact with Climate Giant since they poorly completed the job on my home & were paid in full by the NYSERDA program. The program had to drag him back out to my house, Jason had his “siding expert” come to look @ damages. Jason had his siding guy write that the damages were due to contraction & expansion from hot & cold temperatures, instead of damages created by force. When his siding guy provided me with an estimate, it was lacking & amounts of materials. He had suggested I take his $5k settlement offer and go on a nice vacation, instead of detrimental repairs to my home. As of recent he called me a con artist and scammy for wanting him to make my home whole again. Disputed Amount: $16002.34 Desired Settlement:Replacement See attached documents (7).
