This email is to inform you that the installation of my son ************ bathroom was poorly done and would like to have it fixed or redone immediately. Besides the fact that the timeline started in late December, I still have not signed off on the project. As you can see from the pictures there are multiple mistakes in the installation. Pictures illustrate a variety of mistakes from uneven thickness of the grouting, cuts not straight, tiles not flush with one another, cubby boxes uneven and many more imperfections. I ask you to please assist me in working with Cornell Construction Design to fix or hire another provider to do the job right; and to open up a complaint file to investigate this poor workmanship. Thank you, ******* *********Business response

BBB spoke with Bob at the business and the following was relayed: The work we did was paid for by Monroe County as part of the **** of NY program. The county architect signed off on the job once it was completed. I've had 2 conversations with the consumer and during both conversations, he said everything was fine. This consumer wanted a fancier tile installed, above what Monroe County and **** of NY authorized. We, of course, complied with his request and purchased and installed the fancier tile he wanted. He still hasn't paid me the $954 he owes for this tile. Moreover, the tiles he wanted were not consistent in size. I explained this to him- because of the inconsistent size of the tiles, the joints are the best they can be. And as far as the cubbies, they requested that the original cubby remain so that's why that's like that. We did a beautiful job and we worked hard on this project- I have pictures. I've never had a complaint before. I tell my guys, do a good job and word goes around and that's how we do business. Bottom line, we worked hard, did a great job, everything was signed off on by County, and we went above and beyond for this consumer with his tile request. Bottom line, if we aren't paid the $954 that he owes for the upgraded tile, I'll have to take him to Small Claims Court.Customer response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Simply put, Cornell has made some fabricated statements. The tiles were not faulty. My supplier, **** *********** ** *********, told me the tiles were not faulty and all cut to precise measurements. I told the worker at the home I was not happy. This is a typical he says/she says. I am sure we will need an expert to come in and evaluate. If that happens the bathroom will be redone. FYI: 1. Architect who signed off, signs off on safety not on the construction elements. 2. You need to have an arbitrator look at the the bathroom. ******* *********
