This company installed a roof on my home. Within months shingles began to come detached. I have repeatedly called and left messages since no one answers the phone. They also don't call back. Mean while water is leaking in and there is no point in getting plaster repaired until they stop the leaks. I cannot believe the BBB recommends this company.

We completed Ms ******** roof in January 2020. We did not hear from her until April 2023 (over 3 years later). Our office manager did in fact talk to Ms ******* in April. She only said shingles were coming loose and never mentioned it was leaking. This BBB complaint is the first time she mentioned that leaks were occuring. Our repairman was scheduled to do the repair in May, 2023 but unfortunately had triple bypass surgery. We will get to Ms ******* repair soon.

I hired Tuscarora roofing in October of 2022. The workers were smoking Marijuana on the job. I had to convince them to change out rotting wood on the house. The wood was paied for in the contract. They did not use all of the agreed wood included in the price(5). This was never reimbursed. The major issue is the roof leaks and they will not respond to my calls, or emails. When I call from a different phone number I made contact with the business. I had lifting shingles, likely due to unchanged/replaced rotting wood. The company did come out to correct the shingles but not the wood. The big issue is the leak. This is causing damage inside my home along with time to clean up a mess every time there is snow or rain. I never had a leak prior. Also I paied for a compleat tear off and there is a section they put the new roof over instead of tearing off. This is very frustrating they ignore my calls and is causing damage that now needs to be replaced. Also mold can be growing.

Mr. ******* is correct on some of his claims but not accurate. Plywood used - all 5 sheets of plywood as written on the contract were used. We have extra plywood on the job site in case we need to use more. The contract explains the cost of using more plywood. The extra plywood was then removed from the job site. I suspect Mr. ******* thought all plywood that was delivered would be used, which is incorrect and therefore no reimbursement required. Lifting shingles - upon the report of lifting shingles we sent someone out to inspect. The inspection found that there were a few shingles that had manufacture defects in them causing the apparent "lifting". Those shingles were replaced. No further action required. Roof leaking – We have been there a couple times to inspect the leaking issue with our understanding the issue was resolved. We will send someone again to inspect it.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  I do not agree with the companies response.  Its funny they say there was a defect with the shingles.  When they sent their worker out to replace the shingles and NOT deal with the leak, he responded with "this was a cause of  the nailing of this shingles was rushed and they were not nailed into solid wood."  Rotting wood would be a likely cause.  There was no response on how they never tor the old shingles off of a section of the house.  There is no communication from the company to me regarding the correction or any coordination with me.  I also have severe damage due to several months of water damage inside my home that has been ignored.   **** *******  Regards,  **** *******

We inspected the entry way leak (See attached) on Wednesday. The flashing behind the gutter was repaired. The arrow on the attached shows the entry way that until this claim was the only leak reported. I reject the claim in the area of defective shingles that we did not remove old shingles or the shingles were nailed to rotted wood. I will schedule an appointment with Mr. ******* to meet at his house and discuss all the issues with him.

They did not put aluminum DRIP EDGE ON--- where leave guides are! PAID FOR IT!      Leaking into house throw picture window      Pictures included "copies"

      Business response

      09/08/2022

Our Supervisor reviewed all issues with the Customer in July 2022. The customer was explained that the new drip edge was not installed because her "gutter guard system" could not be taken off and placed back on without damage. The gutter helmet would have to be taken off in order to install new drip edge. The customer agreed to the gutter helmet staying on, that we would not remove the drip edge, and that we would get the existing aluminum drip edge to be properly emptying into the gutter. The Supervisor made the initial adjustments to the drip edge over the picture window that was leaking to show that this would correct the issue. The picture window in the complaint did not leak after the adjustment. The customer also agreed that we would adjust the remainder of the drip edge no later than Sep 15 2022.

As we told Ms ********, we did not have enough to finish the installation and we will be back once the remainder of the gutter guard material becomes available. SHe acknowledge this information at the time with no complaint.

Better Business Bureau:  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  BBB received the following response from the customer on behalf of the business: The business did come out and install the rest of the gutter guard.  Regards,  **** ********
