Our home has been insured through this company since 2012 with no claims. Last year an inspector was sent without our knowledge and observed some wind damage to our garage, we never received any notification from Countyway until yesterday when we were sent a notice that they were canceling our coverage. False claims on the inspection report, the company never had any contact information other than our mailing address, and they say we are not in compliance with inspection. They came without notice last year claim to have sent us a notice in January which I finally saw today. The damage is to our garage with no living space, not a reason to cancel a policy. They have been collecting payment for the last 10 years with no claims against the policy and now are unwilling to send the inspectors back out with us present The mail wasn’t sent certified, I was told by the agent they aren’t required to, we are now scrambling to find new coverage while this company is violating our rights. I had to contact them to get a copy of the report which is from last summer, the report I was emailed was dated January of this year. They sat on a report for months, claim to have sent it but we never received it and now are giving us a little over a month to fix it by a licensed contractor, we have both been in the construction industry for 20+ years and have been waiting for material pricing to come down before we make the repair. No notice, no time and no concern. They are putting our home in danger that we have worked so hard to have, over a cosmetic repair.
