I purchased a 2016 ***** **** from Victor Chevrolet in early May 2024. At the time of purchase, I was assured that the only issues were faulty brakes and a dead battery, which the dealership replaced. They claimed their service team had performed all necessary work on the vehicle and that it was in great condition despite its age and mileage. However, on August 29, my car stalled and had to be towed to a local mechanic. There, I was informed that both the alternator and battery needed replacement. I paid $2,193 out of pocket for these repairs. Unfortunately, the car stalled again three days later, and the mechanic discovered a problem with the turbocharger. I contacted Victor Chevrolet, who confirmed that the turbocharger issue was covered under warranty. I then took the vehicle to a local ** dealership, where I learned that not only was the turbocharger faulty, but there were also several other broken or missing parts contributing to the problems—issues that were not covered under warranty. When I asked the mechanic if these issues were normal wear and tear, he informed me that most of the parts should have been replaced at 100,000 miles, whereas I bought the car at 110,000 miles. Given that I purchased the vehicle less than six months ago and was assured it was in great condition, I believe the dealership should be responsible for replacing the parts not under warranty or for replacing the car altogether. I have been without the vehicle for over 40 days at this point. I have spoken with the service manager at Victor Chevrolet, and they have been in contact with the ** mechanic who currently has my car. When I asked if they would assist in covering the repair costs, they stated, "The car did not have a check engine light on when it left the dealership, so we will not be covering any repair costs."
