      My mother passed away on May 26, 2023. She had purchased a yearly subscription to the ********** Journal and Watertown Times newspaper -- Johnson Newspaper Corporation. When I contacted the newspaper immediately following her passing to let them know she was deceased and to discontinue delivering the newspapers to her residence they indicated that there would be a refund coming for the unused portion of the subscriptions. I have contacted them numerous times via telephone only to be told that the refund would be processed and I would have it within 7-10 business days. These telephone conversations went on for 2 months and still no refund. Finally, on August 1, 2023 I sent an email to President and Publisher as well as the CEO of Johnson Newspaper explaining my situation. On August 14th I followed up with a 2nd email since I had not received a refund, nor had I received an email acknowledging my email of August 1st. The President responded to me and included their "Accounts Payable" department with the following: Accounts Payable: If this check has not yet been cut, please include in our Wednesday check run this week and mail it out. A month later, on September 12th I still had not received any refund and I emailed the President and CEO and Accounts Payable with a follow-up email from August 14th. As of today, September 20th, nothing. No refund and no response to my follow-up email of September 12th. I sent ANOTHER email September 20th to President et al regarding the refund and am also filing this complaint with the BBB.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The subscriber info was in the subject line of the original email I sent to Johnson Newspaper on August 1st.  The subscriber info is as follows: **** *. ********, *** ******** Road, ******, NY  *****. I am the executrix of my mother's estate.  My contact info is as follows:**** ** *****, *** ***** Road, ******, NY *****. Thank you. Regards,  **** *****
