August of 2021, we contracted with Dave Webb Concrete for a replacement of our driveway, patio, and surounding of our pool. The job was not done due to tenants in the property at the time. He stated in our contract that he would honor the price in the spring of 2022. We returned to our property in early June and contacted him immediately about doing the job. Due to rising costs, he was not able to honor his original price, but we agreed to pay $25,500 for the total job; 13000 up front and 12,500 on the day of completion. Construction began on June 22, with expected completion on June 24. We paid the balance on June 24, while the concrete was still wet and we were unable to inspect up close. Dave stated the concrete needed to cure before he could reinstall the slide, ladder rail, fence, and seal the concrete. The following day, we noticed a few issues; uneven/ finished areas where there was rough concrete around the pool and splashed concrete on the siding of the house. We assumed they would correct when they returned. A few members of his crew returned the following week to cut lines in the driveway, other areas poured and sealed the concrete. They did not clean prior, sealed over dirt, a dirty foot print, and all the rough patches of concrete. Nor had they removed the tape surrounding the pool with rough concrete spilled over, (we assumed that would be edged when they cut the lines). We called and left several messages and spoke with members of the crew and his assistant, trying to reach Dave to show him the problems. We kept being told he would come by. A crew member did show up this past week to reinstall the polls to the awning, set the fence back in place, with a hole dug, and left a bag of concrete next to the hole. We continued to message and call, with no response from Dave. We pulled up to a site he was at near our home on Tuesday, where I asked him direct, "are you done with the job?" He said he would be there that night, no show again.
