On June 10, 2023, Dream Cuts arrived to perform a landscaping job for which they previously quoted. Part of the job was to remove two old garden beds, that just contained weeds, located near my driveway. They were then to install new grass where the garden beds had been. They were also there to do spring clean up in my backyard. I left for a few minutes to run an errand. When I returned, they had removed 1/2 of a large flower bed that contained some ground cover plants and a variety of perennial flowers. This flower bed was not part of the scope of the project. When I told them to stop, they did, and apologized. They indicated they thought I wanted the flower bed removed as well. I did not! They offered to put it back, but by that time, it had been destroyed by the bobcat they were using. After several moments, I indicated they should just remove it since it was already destroyed. The owner, continuing to apologize for his mistake, indicated he would discount the bill for his error. When I finally received the bill he included a small 10% discount ($66). I replied and indicated that 20% seemed like a more appropriate amount. He disagreed. I replied again, this time to also point out the grass he installed was very patchy and contained many bare spots of just dirt and a few weeds. His reply was that once he "installs dirt, seed and fertilizer, my job is done." If that's the case, I'd say the job was done poorly since there are so many bald spots. While their error in removing my flower bed and shoddy grass install are my biggest complaints, I'd also like to mention that while blowing leaves in my backyard, they blew in a ton of dirt into my bedroom window, which covered my dresser and floor with dirt. And after their spring clean up in my backyard, left my fence gate wide open. Thankfully, I noticed it before letting my dogs out into the yard! Overall, working with Dream Cuts has been a horrible experience.

Customer notified us about fort in room which we replied via email asking if there was anything we can do to help which we received no responses to. Customer said we removed a 3rd bed and only two beds were present in the front yard. After she told us we made a mistake we offered to fix said mistake while we were there she told us not to worry about it and replace all beds with grass. We installed screened top soil premium grass seed and starter fertilizer. A strong turf yard takes up to 2 years to become established and needs a weed prevention and fertilizing plan to do so. Grass is spotty due to no watering. I can not guarantee turf to come in complete as I am not at the property on a day to day basis to make sure proper watering occurs on a daily basis. Customer received 10% of total bill of services which included over 200 dollars in weekly mowing. If I give her a 20% discount it will be on the specific service she had a complaint about which would be around a 44 dollar discount instead of the 66 dollars given at 10% off the total bill customer is to pay invoice in full upon it’s due date of July 17th 2023 or a mechanized lean will be filled on the property and a police report will be filled for theft of services. Thank you for your time and have a great day! All Your Dreams LLC.

I am rejecting this response because:
At no point did I say, "It's okay" or "don't worry about it" in response to Dream Cuts removing my flower bed. Not verbally and not in writing. I was upset from the get-go and remain so. Even the quote provided (which I have attached) shows removal of "garden beds." Nowhere does it say removal of flower bed. As for how many beds there were in total, even google earth shows three (attached). I have marked each for reference. Granted, the condition of the garden beds that Dream Cuts worked on were terribly overgrown with weeds. But, that's what I hired them to take care of! Nonetheless, there were two garden beds and one flower bed. Period. I did notice that the description of "removal of old garden beds" was removed from the actual invoice, which I find suspicious. As for the lawn install, the areas were watered and it has also rained a magnitude of times since the install was done. Water is not the issue. Shoddy workmanship is to be blamed for my patchy grass with visible bald spots. I will have to pay another landscaper to redo this. I had another landscaper, who has been in business for over 12 years, look at the grass install that Dream Cuts performed. His professional comments are as follows: "Well, that's just sh*tty work. Very light seeding and probably no starter fertilizer. Probably didn't sow in the seed either. Probably used cheap seed. It all makes a difference." I'd be happy to provide his contact information privately to BBB if they wish to follow up with him.

Unfortunately, issues arose from the very beginning of my relationship with Dream Cuts. My neighbor mowed my lawn the day before their first visit. I informed Dream Cuts of this and that the back still needed mowed. They acknowledged this. My backyard is terribly small, but I was still charged for the full amount. I shrugged it off and paid it. After spring clean up, the garden bed removal and lawn install had not been done after approximately one month and I had to follow up several times to find out when it would be done. It wasn't until May 31 that I even received a response. I shrugged that off too. Perhaps that was my fault for not being insistent on a service date. Lesson learned. Blowing dirt in my window and leaving the gate open, that too was shrugged off. The only reason I brought up the dirt in my original BBB complaint is because I was told, verbally, that my invoice would be discounted for that.

I mean, people make mistakes. But all those little things (that occurred over approximately 2 months) coupled with the multiple threats of legal action and demand for payment, even before payment is due or late, and the shoddy workmanship, speaks to consistent neglectful and unprofessional behavior by Dream Cuts and its owner. I'm pretty confident we won't come to any agreements, but at least the information is out there for other unsuspecting consumers.

Dream cuts will not be correcting any work due to negligence on behalf of homeowner. The new landscaper can fix it and mow her dog waste filled back yard from now on. Customer is fishing for a larger discount than the one she received and is not an ideal client type of ours. We have been in business for 4 plus years and we maintain nearly 100 properties on a weekly basis and also have a full service landscape division. We have planted countless acres of grass with a 100 percent satisfactory rate. Dream cuts has no further comment on this.

I am rejecting this response because:
Dream Cuts is simply making excuses for not proving acceptable landscaping services and for why they won't stand behind their work. I am not shocked the owner has resulted to personal attacks. That often happens when one doesn't have any evidence to back up their claims. The owner of Dream Cuts, and his brother, have literally met the owner of the company that does **** pick up in my yard, every single week. She can attest to that. Just more lies and deflection from an unscrupulous and shady business owner. The only thing I neglected,  is researching Dream Cuts more thoroughly before hiring them.
