The complaint is that of a serious safety concern: The vehicle has had several issues that involve safety, including dying while running with no warning in the middle of the road. The dealership blamed the cold weather even though the truck was in a heated garage prior. Only a few thousand miles later, the truck is currently, at the dealership, where they admitted there were over a dozen codes, yet still say there is no issue (just aftermarket parts). Want the vehicle repaired properly. All repair documents are available at the dealershipInitial Complaint

Yesterday on 12/31/21 I went to this dealership after they contacted me about a *** offer that I put in for. I was on time for my appointment. I walked around the dealership for about 5 minutes without anyone even asking if I needed help. I located the mangers desk and informed them that I was there for a vehicle appraisal appointment. The manger called over a sales person to assist. The sales lady and I went outside to go over the vehicle, I told her everything that was wrong with it, all of which was put into the appraisal tool online. She said the vehicle looked very clean for it's age and express that it was rare to get one that age in a decent condition. We go back inside and she get's her manager to go out and look at the vehicle. They come back in and about 10 minutes later, she tells me they are going to offer me $2000 for it. The *** appraisal value was $5550 this is less than half of that. She gets her manager **** I believe after she see that I am unhappy with that offer. I express the fact that it's unfair offer, due to the condition of the vehicle, and I'm not happy with having my time wasted. **** was extremely rude thorough this entire interaction. He even went so far as saying that he "hopes I can find something else productive to do with my day to make up for that wasted time" As a manager myself I wouldn't ever say that to a customer, it's undeniably condescending. I didn't feel welcomed there and feel that I was mistreated and disrespected for no reason. I guess in the area you can be disrespectful to the people of color since they don't make up the majority of your clientele . If they don't want to be a part of the *** program then they shouldn't be. I wasn't even the one that reached out to them. I even considered maybe the vehicle wasn't work that but another dealership bought it for $4800 so I know it was just them being bad people, which seems a bit ridiculous in this day and age but I guess when you're raised that way this is what happens.Business response

We buy 30 to 40 cars a month off the public and unfortunately people believe their crappy cars or poor condition vehicles are diamonds in the rough. This particular car that ******************* brought to us was a total rust bucket with multiple issues that were not disclosed previously to arrival. This car was not in good shape and not something we even wanted. However, I did talk to my manager about being condescending even though he felt the customer was actually trying to unload his junky car on us. The kbb tool is only as good as the information you put in as the consumer and its still just a guide at the end of the day. We want everyone to feel welcome and sometimes there are hard feelings because people get offended about the value of their own possessions. I counseled my manager to make sure even if there is a disagreement in value to always respect the customer and not be condescending to anyone as you never know when we could possibly be doing business in the future with that customer
