THANK YOU for the kind words. It is a blessing to have helped clients for 25 years now. An even a bigger blessing, is that all of this allows us to do all of the charity work we do--especially to help Veterans. TY AGAIN!!Review from Scott H

Dave and his team at Mortach Financial helped me through the confusing and sometimes scary journey to retirement. As I approach retirement I was scared my "market based" solutions were going to take a hit at some point that I would not be able to recover from based on my age. I am NOT a financial expert and tried several ways to protect my future including other financial "experts", doing it on my own, and advice from family and friends. None of these approaches were as sensible or reliable in the long-term as Dave's approach. I recommend Mortash Financial to anyone seeking a safe way to to protect retirement finances.Mortach Financial Services Response

THANK YOU!! We feel blessed to have helped clients, for 25 years now, have the peace of mind knowing their principal is protected, they get solid growth based on indexes in the market and no probate for their family / beneficiaries is crucial also.Review from steven w

I would not recommend Mortach Financial to anyone. We purchased an annuity from Mortach Financial 08/01/21 with a value of $93,223. On 08/01/21 the Dow was 34,968, the Nasdaq was 14,770, and the S&P 500 was 4,406. We Just received our 3 year statement dated 08/01/2024. On 08/01/2024 the Dow was 40,347 (a 15.3% gain in 3 years), the Nasdaq was 17,599 (a 19.1% gain in 3 years) and the S&P 500 was 5,446 (a 23.6% gain in 3 years) Our $93,223 is now $93,452 ( a gain only $228 or less than 1/4 of 1% in 3 years). Mortach Financial called us August 8, 2024 and said they we so sorry we made so little money in 3 years with the market doing so well. The Mortach Financial solution to having such a poor return; cash in our annuity with them and buy another annuity from them (paying a $9400 penalty to do so). The new annuity would have a fixed rate of just 2.4%. We obviously did not do that. Dave advertises that you participate the gains based on an index in the market. We have not. When I asked what our index was in based on the market Dave's assistant could not tell me and stated only Dave could do so. I asked for Dave to call me. No call in 3 weeks. Almost no return in 3 years with the markets up strong. You can look the market numbers up yourself online at many financial sites to verify my statements. Again! I would not recommend Mortach Financial to anyone.Mortach Financial Services Response

Well, great numbers--but he missed something. These are BALANCED indexes and the bond side of the market has gotten---well--creamed is a polite word. He said to look up his numbers--too bad he didn't look up the bond numbers!!! Almost every new client calling us right now is telling us they are tired of losing money. Correct--BONDS!! One of the things that anyone should do, if something is not working, is change it. We have far superior rates compared to 3 years ago when the Fed funds rate was basically zero. And, as is common with these reviews--he mentioned the penalty but forgot to say the bonus to get into the new annuity was bigger, yes I said BIGGER, than the penalty he mentioned. There have now been 3 or so reviews about ONE product that is not working. This is simply why we are changing everyone to the bonus and better rate annuity!! We have about 9000 clients so I guess a few bad reviews about ONE product that isn't working is a fantastic record. And, for anyone wiling to listen, we are fixing that ONE product that isn't working. He has chosen not to--and that is his choice. Funny, I remember CD's at one quarter percent 3 years ago. Why are they, like our annuities better---RATES!!Review from Doug W

We have worked with Dave for 15 years and on multiple products. He and his team have taken great care of us and we are very pleased with the products. What Dave says is very accurate and we think the products AND Mortach Financial have performed at a higher level than we could have anticipated!Mortach Financial Services Response

THANK YOU!! We recently switched a couple of your products to make them even better!! And, of course, we have appreciated your referrals also. We have been getting many emails of appreciation from clients, about how important their lifetime income has been, or just the peace of mind knowing their money is safe. TY AGAIN!!Review from Mike B

I just purchased my second annuity through Mortach Financial. The process could not have been any easier! Several products were presented and Dave patiently answered all my questions. I am thrilled to be protected from the volatility of the stock market and have confidence in knowing that I have a stream of payments that will last literally for the rest of my life to help me with my retirement needs. Appreciate all you did Dave! **** **Mortach Financial Services Response

Three years into a 10 year contract with zero to minimal gains. Waiting to see if there will be gains or how it averages out. Got a call from his office about a new investment option but no desire to tie up the same principal that is flat or zero earning for another long term commitment. Will wait for the 5 year mark and evaluate but looks like pulling off the penalty free amount and putting in CD's is a better return currently. Dave seems like a straight shooter and it's not his doing if F&G is not paying anything but it's not doing his brand or F&G anything positive for future investors. F&G's dividend reporting is kind of crappy but easy to track when it's about zero.Mortach Financial Services Response

He is correct--minimal gains. The stock side of the market got crushed in 2022, gained most back in 2023 and now is finally plus in 2024. PROBLEM--we just had the 2nd worst bond market in our country's history--down around 50%. Well, these are balanced indexes and the bond side has hurt badly. But, he said a few interesting things in here. We DID call him to improve what he has. We have far superior rates than we did 3 years ago. So, you can see we tried to improve on his product--he chose not to. We have 100's of clients coming in to improve their products--as we always try to help our clients get the absolute best that is available. One last note---we have a ton of prospective new clients calling in--saying they heard the stock market hit a new record high--but their 401k is still down in value!! YES--BONDS!! In fact, that would be about 75% of our phone calls--asking why a record high and my account is still down?? We did absolutely try to improve what he has. He is one of only 2 clients who have not come in. We are getting thanked by our clients for getting them into far better products--because of the significant rate increases that have happened.Customer Response

As I said to your caller re-investing for another 10 year contract makes less sense than withdrawing penalty free amounts and putting it in a CD that's paying more (guaranteed) and not tied up for a longer term. I went with F&G per your recommendation, just unfortunate they are not performing well.Mortach Financial Services Response

Yes, CD rates are up--and when CD rates go up, annuity rates go up by even more. This is why we contacted you to make things much better. CD rates are about to go down. Our bonuses up front and rates are far superior to CD's. TY again--we certainly wish you would have come back in--like the many, many other have.Review from Jerry G

I had called Dave Mortage’s office in response to a letter I received from the insurance company on the value of my funds. When I noticed, I did not gain a penny. I had called his office and talk to his office manager she could not understand why I did not have a set interest rate on my account, she said she would look into it and get back to me. Sarcastically I said I cannot understand how I could make nothing but Dave can donate all kinds of money to charity and wounded warriors. She said she could not speak for Dave how he invest his money but she would get back to me to find out About mine. About 20 minutes later I got a phone call from Dave. It was very unpleasant with a lot of vulgar swearing at me telling me not to call his effing office again my $130,000 did not mean anything to him he made that kind of money yesterday he didn’t need me . I asked him if this is how he treats all his customers, of course I just got more swearing at me. Needless to say I had to drop him as a broker and pick somebody else up. I would not recommend him to anybody my money was with him for about Seven years and over the course I gained about 2 1/2% interestMortach Financial Services Response

Well, this one is quite the opposite. First, I don't swear at clients. But in our files, we have, from my assistant, how nasty he was to her. To say he was rotten to my assistant, who is older, would be the understatement of a lifetime. We are elated that he is no longer a client. The things he said to her were completely and totally uncalled for. The funny part is we have about 9000 clients, so I guess you could say he is in the minority of my clients. But anyone who criticizes me helping Veterans--is well---I'll let the reader finish that sentence. Helping people with their money to be safe and helping Veterans is our driving force for our company!!Review from Karen S

When I got on the BBB website to do a review for Dave and his amazing products, I saw that the last few reviews had concerns about their returns for the last few years. Two of them said they made zero. Well like he says on TV and radio sometimes zero is your hero. My IRA and mutual funds over the last two years have lost between 10% and 20%, this will take years to recover. Now that the stock market is going up - I am looking forward to getting some good returns on my fixed index annuities with Mortach finanacial. I am very happy that my annuities with him did not lose any money. Lastly I have never had a problem with customer service. If I call his office, every staff member I ever talked to has been pleasant and helpful. Also, on a few occasions I have called the policy issuer directly on their 1-800 line and they were very helpful as well. I feel blessed and happy working with Dave and Mortach Financial. I've been with him about 5 years and I did get gains the first few years and am looking forwards to gains this year. Thankfully my money is safe with his products and if I have any questions his staff is only a phone call away.Mortach Financial Services Response

THANK YOU!!! We appreciate the positive response, as I certainly can't control the stock and bond market. But we can keep everyone's money safe and do well in the good years. We also have many clients that not only enjoy the safety and growth--but no probate is crucial also--just ask anyone that has went through it!! TY AGAIN!!!Review from Al M

I bought a 10 year annuity from Dave 8 years ago. He never talked to me since the purchase. I am guessing that is because he already made his money from the sale. It is basically glorified insurance. Don’t expect any advice or service unless you continue to buy his product. Don’t put all your money in one basket. A.M.Mortach Financial Services Response

Well--OPPOSITE. First it just barely had hit 7 years. But, we stress to all of our clients that they can call us anytime they want. With there being no risk with these great products, we are here to help, but there is really nothing to call about with a client, as these go in 1 or 2 year cycles I have 6 great assistants here to help 5-6 days per week. I still do not understand why people go find the BBB, then take the time to write a review and they could have simply called us!! But wait, this gets even funnier. He sent in this review on a SATURDAY--I had 2 (TWO) assistants here at that time that would have answered any question or gotten him any form he needed. How many other financial companies can you deal with or get to talk to on a SATURDAY?? Again we are not here 100% of Saturday's, but we are here most!! Such a shame!!Review from Tim M

His system is very similar to the piggy bank I used when I was young. Occasionally you add a few cents to it, and since it sat in my nightstand it never lost any money, nor got used in any way. My checking account would have made more money.Mortach Financial Services Response

Apparently Tim would have preferred that his piggy bank got completely busted into a million pieces. Just to be clear, these products are based off indexes in the market. SURPRISE--well not really--the market is down appr 15% the last 2 years. The bond market is one of the two worst bond markets in our country's history--down appr 50% over the last 2+ years. Just guessing but breaking even, rather than losing 15 and 50 percent is a good idea?? Our other clients--that see how bad this really is--are calling us to say THANK YOU!! And the bank has been at appr 0% for 13 years--only over the past 9 months or so could you make money there. I am hoping Tim can use his pennies to get him something that can update him on the news--the real world. In all honesty, many believe 2024 will be even worse. The one thing i have always told my clients--is that I can't control the stock market. HMMM--just to review--minus 15 and 50%--or break even with no fees--i know what my clients are appreciating!!!!!
