Hello, I recently decided to try out legalease as a citation tool. The advertisement stated that I could try a 7-day free trial and cancel at anytime before I would be billed. In order to create an account, you had to provide payment information. I used the email "liliamarkovna@yahoo.com" because the website did not seem reputable (I can verify that the email address belongs to me). I quickly discovered that when I tried to hit "manage account" on the legalease website, nothing happens! I tried emailing numerous about the issue, and never got a resolution. It will come as no surprise that I was billed 19 dollars be LegalEase, against my explicit instructions. I signed up for the service on May 15th (supporting photo one). I first tried to cancel on May 20th, which is within the 7-day window (supporting photo two). I also replied to an email requesting that my subscription be canceled when I received a notification that my free trial would be ending soon (supporting photo three). In addition, supporting photo four shows me trying to click "manage account" on the legalease website (nothing appears, in both mobile and desktop version, and using chrome and safari). Supporting photo five is evidence of final payment. Legalease was also not listed under the Better Business Bureau, nor was its home company (LegalEase-Tech, Inc., located at 16192 COASTAL HWY, LEWES, Sussex, DE, 19958). Every step of this process lacked transparency and I fear that this fraudulent false advertising scheme may spread far and wide. Please help me get my money back, and help every other person taken advantage of by Legalease-Tech, Inc.! The home and subsidiary company are well overdue for an investigation and I am skeptical that their filings are up to date. In addition, my subscription has not been canceled, so I am at risk for further payments to be withdrawn while I am helpless to stop them. That is predatory and wrong and I desire recourse, for me and others similarly situated.Business response

Thank you for your email. Our records indicate that we cancelled and fully refunded this customer and notified her via her email on May 26. Our policy is to respond to all customer inquiries as soon as possible and to immediately cancel and fully refund any customers who request one. As for the technical issues reported by the customer, our product team is looking into these right now and will prioritize any fixes that may be necessary.
