I hired gutter solutions to replace gutters and soffit. The guys that came out were really professional and did a great job for the most part. Everything except the the fascia on the front of the house. I called and text the owner numerous times about the issue. I finally heard back from him in July 2021. He said he'd stop over and look at it himself. I said perfect let me know your thoughts. Never heard a word back until the end of January 2022 when he sent a letter wanting the remainder of his money. I called him and said once the issue is resolved I'll pay him the remainder of his money no problem. He said thats the way it has to be done and he's not fixing anything it looks like that so water doesn't leak behind the siding. Its easily folded to fit neatly above the j-channel and run a bead of caulk to keep water out. Instead his response was he'd see me in court. I wouldn't recommend this company for the reasons listed above. Hard to get ahold of, and they don't back their work. If the job isn't done right fix it and keep the customer happy.Business response

I am responding to this complaint today upon hours after me opening a letter from the BBB that was in my PO Box found on Saturday. I have received no letter prior from the BBB nor have I received any emails about this. The reason the rest of the house looks perfect and the front of the house does not is because someone cut the overhangs off the house on the front side prior to us being there to do any work we are only finishing a job that someone else started. The house was already sided and already roofed. We did not make the south siding wall project out further then what the roof does, however commonsense would tell anyone that if we do not extend the fascia wrap over the corner post and J channels water will get in. The homeowner mentioned caulking the facia wrap to the J channel to stop water coming in I am unaware of how a 30 foot long bead of caulk would look professional to anyone nor would a southside exposure with direct sunlight hitting it within a couple years will crack and shrink that caulk to where water will be coming in. I provided a profile diagram with my invoice to show the homeowner why it was done that way and the person who did the wrapping of the facia it’s an 18 year veteran of my company with over 20 years of construction experience under his belt. Everywhere on the house that there is an overhang the overhangs are wrapped normally where there are no overhangs there’s really nothing else we can do that will not lead to problems down the road. The area in question, when standing on a ladder we were able to look right down the inside of the corner post prior to us wrapping it now you can’t that says enough in itself. I will apologize for the lag time and getting back with the homeowner when I stop there in July to look at it he was on vacation. That was the last time we worked in Huron for the year and seem to spend the rest of the year working more in the Port Clinton area I only realized that we had never invoiced him around tax season time and that’s why we are just now in January sending out the invoice.Customer response
