We drove over 2 hours to look at a truck. We arrived and looked the the truck asked to test drive and was told "if you buy it". We couldn't test drive it as it was listed on a auction site and the mileage was already recorded. The salesman even called prior to our arrival asking when we would be there to see the truck. He never mentioned not being able to test drive it. The listing does not mention anything about it being on any auction site. He was very deceitful and misleading. Buck Chevrolet takes customer service very serious and works hard everyday to make sure customers receive the best and most professional experience possible while visiting our location. We understand the customer is upset that the vehicle he was interested in had a previous pending deal which makes test driving the vehicle prohibited per request of the purchasing customer. We have contacted this customer to notify them that we are reviewing the experience and actions by Mr. ****** and are notifying the appropriate parties of his actions. Our employee was threatened and assaulted by Mr. ****** and received injury to his hand by Mr. ******'s actions. All of these claims were witnessed by a Canal Fulton City Official and digitally by employees. We will update this file as information becomes more available and reports are filed.Review from Evan J

Tried to scam me on a deal witgh this bi weekly payment as they thought I was young and would not know any better but thats besides the point, they illegaly used my information to track down my business on google and leave 3 negative made of reviews accusing me of scamming and selling fakes to my customers, in which these 3 1 star reviews dramitcally lowered my business rating on google maps very unprofessial and seriously considering legal actions.Review from Ken S

I would give zero if I could. This “dealership” automatically signs you up for all the add ons and tell you it’s “part of the loan”. This included a BOGUS biweekly payment program that charges you to make payments to your lender. I asked several times why biweekly payments and continued to get the run around. Finally after being told several times NOT to pay my lender directly I clarified and it was disclosed I would be paying a third party. The owner is also a liar. Making a bogus comment about how the “finance guy” was out and he doesn’t normally handle the paperwork. After doing some research, there is no “finance guy”. The theme of this transaction was deception from the moment we sat down. All that being said, they also do not return phone calls once they have your sale. I left 4 voicemails with the “finance department” (aka Dan B***) and no one bothered to return my call. They are now telling me (via email. My phone calls were NEVER returned) that they won’t be honoring my request to cancel a warranty (that was “included” only it wasn’t and I paid for it) because of my google review. Great business practices. “it was a unanimous vote to stay with the terms and conditions of the contract after they read your google review.” Direct quote from their email. We are loyal Chevy drivers and were hoping we had found a new dealership to work with regularly. This is not it. Predators! HORRIBLE communication. Unethical business practices. PLEASE READ! And be sure to call and file a formal complaint with GM about this dealer if you've experienced anything like what I describe below. The owner of Buck is also the finance guy and the one likely to take your call if you complain to the dealer. CALL GM! Read your paperwork thoroughly before signing! They bank on you not catching discrepancies and set things up so you don't. My recent experiences at more reputable Chevy dealers gave me the impression that deceiving customers with unethical tactics was a thing of the past. I was wrong. Buck is one of those slimy weak dealerships. Dan B*** raced through the paperwork and led the slimy transaction. He had me sign a form stating they didn't say anything deceptive BEFORE he verbally guided me through the rest of the paperwork. I found out afterward that Dan and Bradley did deceive me. First, they quoted my payment at 60 mos. but my contract is for 72. I should have read more carefully, yes, but they know what they're doing and it's concerning that a Chevy dealer would operate this way. If it was an honest mistake, they would have corrected it (which they haven't). I come from a long Chevy family and have never experienced this anywhere else. Trying to cancel a no longer needed extended warranty. Traded in my old vehicle and 2 years left on the warranty. Have called multiple times and cannot get anyone to respond back. Left messages and emailed them with my number.Review from Kathy P

This business needs to be cancelled! My review and the owners response are below.In defense of his accusations.I requested in a voicemail to speak with someone rather than just leaving a bad review. An old school courtesy to resolve an unhappy customer.There was no threat involved.What I asked for was that he might offer an explanation and possibly an invitation to view the vehicle.This was not appreciated and wrongfully twisted.His attention paid to my review, like watching videotapes, recording conversations is a very unhealthy response. MyReview:I arrived Saturday afternoon 7/1/23, one other car in the lot. Asked to see a vehicle, was told we needed an appt, but we could wait with no idea how long. So at least two employees in the building, no one brought keys. Left after 25 minutes. Spoke with Dan B*** today. He claims "appt only" policy is due to COVID-19 and is posted in disclosures on their website (couldn't find it then or now). His customers and employees are very happy with this policy. All the dealerships are doing this; they are "not alone or the first". What a weird and rude situation! I would definitely not recommend. HisResponse:We appreciate the opportunity to discuss your situation and feel bad our explanations and service did not meet your standards. What we do not appreciate is your husband was nicely told we would be out to help him as soon as possible and we were finished with our current guests. He was also told it would be about 30 minutes. These statements come straight from the showroom videos. Our staff was professional and kind. What we also do not appreciate is you calling 4 days later to try and negotiate with the threat of an online review and state "what are you willing to offer me?" to prevent you from leaving a poor review. These statements are also from our recorded phone calls. We appreciate the customers perspective (****** at ******** ********** ********* * **** and her husband **********). In reality, the entire conversation about her and her husbands experience seem futile because being happy does not seem to be their goal. She never had any experience with us and is simply upset because of her husbands poor explanation of circumstances. Our showroom documentation shows he was treated with respect and professionalism by our staff. Some people in the world just want to be toxic and spread toxic energy everywhere they go and upon everyone they meet. We made an appointment to view a vehicle and drove 50 minutes to get to the dealership. When we arrived we viewed the car and asked to test drive it. Right away we were asked how we were going to pay and we said we would discuss payment later because we would like to test drive the car first to see if we liked it. We were told that their procedure is to do credit check and financing first before they allow someone to test drive. We said we did not want to agree to buying something before getting a chance to drive it. The salesman then said we would have to wait until his manager arrived because he could not allow us to test drive without the credit check. We waited for the manager to come, wasting our time, we asked the salesman to call his manager to ask when he would be there and he told us we would just have to wait. So we decided to leave. We left a review about our experience on Google and the dealership replied to it giving our full names and street address in the reply. They put our personal information out there without our consent.Review from Dawn W

Brad and the finance manager were the most unprofessional people I've ever worked with in the automotive industry. I will never go back and I will continue to write these reviews warning people. No body deserves to be treated like this.Customer Response

Update: Apparently management is willing to excuse this behavior. By trying to blame the customer. Wonderful defense strategy. However, i will continue to post these. But as you can see from the other terrible reviews that this isn't the 1st time that this has happened. It's really pathetic that they searched my reviews to try to slam me. Then copied and pasted it below on the reply.. Once again lying. So very sadd.But, sorry darling. Im proud of my sobriety. This is what they are reduced to. I will be sure to report this to the people who really matter. This is what the owner posted. Clearly anyone who buys a car from them , hasn't seen their very unprofessional way they deal with the behavior of their staff. This was my response to the owners comment :Hi **** Sorry you feel this way. Buck Chevrolet did the best they could with communicating with you but suspect you were either intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances because nothing they said made sense to you during your visit. We feel terrible for the child that you had with you and sincerely hope you find the help you need in cleaning up your life. You are a danger to yourself and others anc need to stop acting this way before you cause damage to yourself or others. Please leave us alone and never communicate with us again or we will sue you for liable and slander. FYl..you need to have a job before you can apply for a loan. Just saying you make money is not enough proof to the banks, Sincerely Your grateful friends that never have to see you again. P..you need to go back to these days!!
