On 4/16/24 my wife and I noticed our three year old refrigerator was making a weird noise and wasn’t working. On 4/17/24 my wife called Diversified Home Solutions and on 4/18/24 they came to our home for a service call which cost $79. The technician (***** was in our home for 20 minutes and said the unit was unrepairable and we needed a new refrigerator. He said the compressor had failed. We were confused because the refrigerator had a 5 year compressor warranty that was still active. We called ********* who manufactured the refrigerator and they scheduled one of their technicians to come out for $150. ********* said the compressor is under warranty so if had failed, they would replace the part for free including labor. They told us to plug the refrigerator in 24 hours prior to their arrival. When I went to plug in the refrigerator I noticed **** of Diversified Home Solutions had cut all the wires to the compressor. He never asked if this was ok prior to doing it or even told my wife he had done it. When the technician for ********* arrived he said we would need to pay for a new wiring harness and labor to install it. He was extremely confused why Diversified Home Solutions cut the wires. The technician for ********* did verify the compressor had failed but ********* would not cover the compressor under warranty because Diversified Home Solutions cut the wires. I called Diversified Home Solutions to speak to them about this issue and I was told **** (the technician who came to our home) is the owner of the company and they would have him call me back. That was on 4/22/24 (I have not heard from him). My wife called on 4/24/24 and he has not called either one of us. If we would have never called Diversified Home Solutions our refrigerator would have been repaired for $150. Sadly, because we did call them, we have spent $300 in service calls and are facing a $1,100 repair bill or forced to buy a new refrigerator. On top of that, the owner won’t even return our calls.Business response

I have been working on appliance's now for almost forty years ********* does not have a 5 yr warranty on compressors. They have a 1 yr warranty if they knew this had a warranty why didn't the call ********* witch it don't. Call any place that sells whirlpool appliances.. And I did return their call and explained the warranty..
