      I approved diagnosis ONLY($78.63) for a concern with my backpack leaf blower I had. After 2 and a half weeks of no calls from him I checked in on a Thursday morning. He said “I think we have the problem fixed, I will call you later today to see if I can get this covered by the warranty.” After not hearing from him that day, I called back the next day (Friday) to find out it’s not covered, which is fine. He tells me my total will be ($170), more than double the diagnosis quote and that “sometimes it requires more diagnosis to figure out a problem”. When I had an objection to the added cost with no additional approval he told me “if you don’t pick up your unit in 2 weeks I will sell it to recuperate my costs”. I have no issues with further diagnosis, but he never called me to see if I wanted to do the additional work. I spent 170.36 dollars to fix a 265 dollar leaf blower, and I would not have spent that kind of money if he would have called and asked me to approve more

      WHEN ***** CAME INTO MY SHOP ON 09/11/2023. HE WAS TOLD AS WELL AS WRITTEN ON HIS INVOICE. ESTIMATE 2 TO 7 WORK WEEKS, TO BE CHK-ED OR REPAIRED. HE WAS ALSO TOLD THAT IF THE MANUFACTURER (POULAN), THEY MAY OR MAY NOT COVER THE WARRANTY. POULAN IS THE ONE THAT MAKE THE DECICION ON WARRANTY COVERAGE OR NOT. MEANING, THEY WILL PAY A 100% FOR OR PARTIAL OF THE REPAIRS OR NOT PAY FOR ANY SERVICES RENDERED. AND IF POULAN DID NOT COVER THE REPAIR THAT HE THE CUSTOMER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES. THE UNIT IS A 2021 MODEL. SHOWED SIGNS OF NEVER BEING SERVICED. AND ***** WAS VERBALLY TOLD COST COULD BE COVERED OR NOT. AND ANY COST COULD BE $0.00 TO $200.00, IN ADDITION, IF NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THIS WAS ALL TOLD VERBALLY TO *****. I CHARGE A UP FRONT DIAGOSING FEE OF $69.00 PLUS TAXES. IF THE MANUFACTURER PAYS FOR ALL, THIS CHARGE WOULD BE REIMBURSED. BUT IF NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY? CUSTOMER IS REPONSIBLE FOR ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES. IF ***** DID NOT LISTEN TO WHAT IS STATED TO HIM? THEN THIS IS CUSTOMER ERROR. AND IF EQUIPMENT IS NOT COVERED UNIT MANUFACTURER WARRANTY, BECAUSE OF LACK OF MAINTENANCE. THIS IS OPERATOR ERROR & THEY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CHARGES.  ***** HAD CALLED A COUPLE OF TIME WHILE UNIT IS HERE. UPSET WHY I HAVE NOT CALLED HIM. WHICH I TOLD HIM I WAS WAITING FOR MANUFACTURERS TO TELL ME IF COVERED UNDER WARRANTY OR NOT. MANUFATURERS STATE, WE HAVE TO DIAGNOSE AND SOME TIMES, HAVE TO REPAIR THE UNIT FIRST. TO SEE WHAT IT TOOK TO FIX IT? THEN WHEN I DID RECEIVE AN ANSWER FROM POULAN, THE MANUFACTURER. THAT IT IS NOT A WARRANTY COVERAGE.  I CALLED *****, EXPLAINED THE REPAIRS AND PROCEDURES. WITH WHAT THE REMAINING EXPENCE WOULD BE. THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR. BECAUSE GENERAL MAINTENANCE IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. HE WAS UPSET. HE TOLD ME HE WAS NOT GOING TO PAY. MADE THREATS OF COMIMG TAKING THE UNIT. WILL NOT PAY. WILL TAKE ME TO COURT. I STATED TO HIM. THAT OHIO LAWS FOR SMALL EQUIPMENT, UNTITLED, ARE SUBJECT TO BE SOLD AFTER 15 DAYS OF REFUSAL TO PAY.   THE BACK PACK GAS BLOW WAS HERE 4 WEEKS TO BE SERVICED AND WAITING ON AN ANSWER FROM POULAN. I TALKED TO ***** ON 09/08/2023 @ 11:50AM TO TELL HIM WHAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD STATED. (AS I HAVE EXPLAINED ABOVE) HE SHOWED UP AT MY SHOP ON 09/09/2023 @ 08:58 AM. I WAS OUT ON A PARTS PICK UP AT THIS TIME AND WAS HEADING BACK TO THE SHOP. ***** SPOKE TO MY TECH ** IN A GRUFF AND RUDE MANOR. ** CALLED ME, AN TOLD ***** IF HE WOULD HAVE A SEAT, I WOULD BE IN, IN ABOUT FIVE MINUTES. HE WAITED AT THE LOBBY COUNT AND ***** STATED HE WANTED TO HEAR IT RUN. SO, MY TECH ** RETREIVED THE BLOWER. STARTED IT UP, SO ***** COULD HEAR IT RUN. IT RUN ABOUT 10 MINUTES. SO, HE COULD SEE AND HEAR IT RUNNING. ***** ALSO STATED IF HE HAS TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. HE WOULD TAKE ME TO SMALL CLAIM COURT. AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR LEGAL FEES. NOTE: I DO HAVE 09/09/2023 ALL ON VIDEO RECORDING. WHILE ***** & ** WAS WAITING, FOR ME TO ARRIVE. ***** WAS TELLING ** HE WORKS AT A DEALERSHIP. THEN STATED HOW I SHOULD BE RUNNING MY BUSINESS, TO **. WHEN ** TOLD ***** I WAS READY TO PULL IN TO THE SHOP DRIVEWAY. ***** WANT TO PAY FOR THE BILL, QUICKLY. ***** SAID HE DID NOT WANT TO TALK TO ME. BECUASE I WOULD TRY TO RAILROAD HIM AND BULLY HIM. ***** STATED HE WOULD JUST TAKE ME TO COURT. ***** TOLD ** I CAN CALL HIM AND RETURN THE CHARGE. IF I DO NOT, HE WILL TAKE ME TO COURT, AGAIN. I ENTERED MY LOBBY, AND ***** DID NOT WANT TO TALK TO ME. AND LEFT. ** CARRIED THE BLOWER OUT TO *****'S CAR. 
      THEN ***** LOADED THE UNIT INTO HIS VEHICLE AND LEFT.
