I spoke on the phone to Cathy L, Market President ans Shane F Tuesday June 21st regarding our personal bank account that had overdraft fee issues on it starting on the week of June 8th. Stock yards profited $360 off of us in overdraft fees, 10 separate fees in $36.00 per fee. I am being told we cannot stop our overdraft protection because fees would still be charged if we did. We cannot opt out of this overdfraft protection at all because it would cause more fees if this ever happened again. Per a conversation on the phone Tuesday we had made a mobile deposit because we could not get to a bank to get cash to make the deposit. This was because we cannot get gas due to no money in our account. My husband has recently had surgery and we really needed our hard earned money. I tried to talk to the market President Cathy L, I've talked to her for 2 or 3 times along with a man by the name of Shane F. They informed me again of how it was not going to happen and that I could come overdraw my account again for cash. To say I am beyond frustrated with this situation is a complete understatement. I was told I could go get cash, overdraw my account once again and be refunded that fee. I do not trust Stockyards to refund an additional fee they won't work with me on these that have been there for the past couple weeks. $360 in money from my paycheck of a little over $1000.00! This has been an absolute nightmare for my family of 5 because we cannot even go and get stuff we need from the store. I was told they had researched our account history and if they truly had, they would see this is not a recurring thing with us. We do not use nor did we ever AGREE to Stockyards Overdraft protection services. They switched hands from Kentucky Bank to Stockyards earlier this year. I don’t mean any disrespect toward any person but this money is literally our food and gas money until next payday and they took every bit of it. I did not agree to these services from this bank.Business response
