On March 31s my membership was confirmed cancelled by Amanda at Fitopia. I shared I was going to be traveling extensively for work and would not be able to use my membership. Statements show a refund of $301.84 on April 1, 2022 as I was told I would not be charged moving forward. My card was later reported as stollen and a new card issued. In October I discovered that I had been billed an additional $1800 by Fitopia for services never rendered. I was also told by a member of ******* *** that a representative from Fitopia called inquiring my new credit card number to process these charges. When I reached out to the owner to find a remedy, I was avoided and eventually sent an email stating nothing could be done regarding the charges and they would remain. I am seeking a full refund as services were ever rendered and I was told my membership was canceled.Business response

Our client signed up for a membership (to make use of low monthly rate); it is our policy to sit with each client and review the membership information in detail including cancellation policy and procedures. In Spring, she paused for one month and we refunded $s for that month.
She did not send us information about the move. Later in the year, when she did tell us about her move, we immediately terminated her membership so she won’t be charged.
With regard to contacting Capital One, our team never contacted her credit card company.
We feel bad our client feels this way; we have cooperated with her fully, offered multiple options along the way (that were more than fair and she passed on), and terminated the membership when we were made aware of the move.
We are an ethical studio that cares for its clients. We take the time to review membership details with each client, before the client signs up, to prevent any surprises. We have, and will continue to, operate with our clients’ best interest in mind.
