I live in ********** and hired the licensed contractor/ business owner of Little Home Repair from Cincinnati, OH to do work on a home I own in ******* **. He reached out to me via ************* when he seen I was searching for contractors in the ****** area. He explained he was in between jobs and was ok with making the commute. Long story short, the business owner and his employee (brother in law) came in did the work, I spoke with him daily while he was at the property, recieved pictures, updates, etc. I paid him in increments of completion for certain phases. Come to find out, much of the work he did was staged and not done, electrical that was working, no longer worked, tons of materials were damaged, and installed wrong(or not installed at all) and he stole essential materials for the completion of the project. I paid him $26,000 and he tried to charge me more money to come out and fix the things he didn't do and threatened me with a lien, multiple times. I filed a complaint with the state and he will not comply with them. My goal is to get all of my money back and his license stripped. He is not skilled in his "expertise" and is taking advantage/scamming his customers. I want him held accountable for this matter to the fullest extent.

I signed a contract with Cody of Little Home Repair LLC on February 14th, 2023 for a bathroom remodeling project. The original estimate totaled $9,493.75. To date, I have paid Cody $12,255.44 via Zelle or Check for the work to be done in my bathroom. While I understand additional work can come up on projects of this caliber, I expect to receive the level of service I paid for. I have paid out of pocket at least $360.89 for items that were already covered under Cody's invoices and paid for to him. I have receipts of everything. As of today (4/2/23) Cody has verbally assaulted me once over the phone, once in my own home with my parents listening in the next room, and once over text. The contracted work is still not completed, but I am refusing to allow Cody back on my property as I don't feel physically safe in his presence. I am asking for a $1,000 reimbursement of funds for the money I paid out of pocket for goods that Cody had already been paid for, along with the work still to be done on my property. I have attached photos of the issues I flagged to Cody over text message that needed correcting that he chose to ignore. I will be required to hire a new contractor to finish the work Cody has already been paid for in full as of March 13th, 2023.

As far as we were concerned we left under the impression that we were coming back the following Sunday to re glaze her tub. We have responded to her request and satisfied every complaint she had brought to our attention. Saying you do not feel safe is honestly sickening that you would come after my title company like that baffles me. I’m sorry if my reaction to someone walking in after not speaking the entire 3 hours we were at her home making fizzes coming into my workspace and cussing at me within 5 seconds of entering was less that kosher for you. Also, the money that you had paid me was for material outside of your quote, and you knew this wich is why you agreed to paying it, had it already been in the quote and I requested it mistakenly you would have a refund totaling that amount headed your way. But observing my BBB sticker in my bag yesterday and trying to go this low to spite someone who never once tried to ignore you or just tell you off is insane. I wish you all the best, however I won’t be going any further with *****, I will not have a customer throwing around frankly childish and ignorant accusations in an attempt to destroy the honest business I have here. Thanks!

      Hello BBB team,

I am attempting to upload a timeline of events, a breakout of invoices paid along with additional expenses occurred on my end, text confirmations of issues communicated by myself to the business owner without proper resolution, and an email sent to the business owner detailing that he is not welcome back on site given his behavior but I am getting an error message from the website.

Little Home Repair LLC was paid well in advance of work being complete on my property, but after attempting to have the owner back out to rectify the remaining work to be complete I was greeted with hostility and threatening behavior. I sent an email detailing that he was no longer allowed on my property and am requesting momentary reimbursement for incomplete work and obscene unprofessionalism. I paid over $400 for items on my own to finish this project despite Little Home Repair already being paid for those items. It is not nearly 2 months since agreeing for work to begin on an estimate 2 week long project and my bathroom remains incomplete.

above are all of the areas ms Sonderman had pointed out as needing fixed after the project was finished, in the pictures you can clearly see the before and after and see a running sink with no leaks, quality tile work through and through, and on 3 separate occurrences we have returned to dgo above an beyond for ***** to ensure her happiness. I'm not sure what the complaint really is at this point. se asked for multiple things that were outside of the estimate ($400.00) sounds to me like the dry wall installation materials that she needed, in fact, I can attach the estimate and show that I didn't even charge the labor for the drywall install. everything else was in the estimate and or agreed to by both parties prior to any extra material being purchased obviously or I wouldn't have been reimbursed. furthermore, the punch list ***** gave the last time we were at her home was completed to her satisfaction, with the exception of the tub needing re glazed with another coat (very old tub, it happens, no way to perfect it.) and we were scheduled to come back the following Sunday because the very next day didn't work for her, so not only is she the one refusing the work at this point but she made the whole being intimidated up obviously, my whole crew witnessed us leave on good terms assuming we would return Sunday to reglaze another coat. I cannot force her to allow us to finish, however I won't be bullied either. she was not nice when I was there free of charge to try and bring about a satisfactory end, so I don't assume she will play nice on here either. please allow me to attach the estimate to a separate email if it will not allow it here.

      thanks and best regards,

      Cody G*******

Mr. G******** responses to date have been flat out lies on how he conducted business on my property. My story matches the review left on his BBB account on February 16th. Had I seen that review, I would not have agreed to work with Little Home Repair LLC as it is clear they do not operate with integrity. At no point did the company leave with work completed. I've provided a full timeline of events detailing out unkept promises and failures on behalf of Little Home Repair LLC. Claiming the images I submitted were "pointed out as needing fixed after the project was finished" is astounding to read as I still have holes in the drywall from inaccurate work done by Cody and his team. The project was never done, and won't be until I can hire a reputable company to complete the work. "The punch list ***** gave the last time we were at her home" was absolutely NOT completed to satisfaction as Cody himself admitted to ignoring my messages detailing out the work to be done and then behaving obscenely when I pointed out the issues in his presence. He was happy to ignore the incomplete work because he had already been paid in full in good faith by me. His crew was present the final day I had them on site and I've heard from them since that they agree he spoke to me inappropriately, raising his voice and approaching me threateningly. My parents were also on site and would be happy to corroborate. I would've been glad to have him back on site to finish the work he was contracted to do had he handled the situation with respect and dignity, but unfortunately he chose aggressiveness and has been informed via email he is no longer allowed back near my property.

All I'm asking for is that the money I paid out of pocket for materials and work to be done that was not completed, be reimbursed to me so that I can resolve the lingering issues Cody and his team left behind. I've spent hours repainting my bathroom, installing light fixtures that were wired incorrectly, filling gaps in walls and tile, and trying to finish a project I was excited to have done that has turned into a nightmare. I've have a breakout of each invoice paid to Little Home Repair LLC to date, along with markings showing things done incorrectly or fixtures I paid for out of pocket that LHR was also paid for previously. The response will not allow me to attach that but I'd be happy to share it, along with some screenshots of Mr. G******** text correspondence which paint a clear picture of how negatively he talks to his customers.

Cody G******, operator of Little Home Repair LLC, does not have the experience, skill or professional demeanor to be running a business. I worry for other homeowners, companies, and individuals who may be swindled by him in the future. The Better Business Bureau has a duty to protect those folks.

      Regards,
