I left diamonds with Eddie Lame Diamond Showroom at the beginning of Covid. I called to retrieve my diamonds and they lost them. They completely dismissed my wanting to find my grandmother’s diamonds, it seemed because they were small and very sentimental to me and not worth a lot of money and hung up on me saying there is nothing they can do.Business response

******** states that she left diamonds taken out of her mothers cluster ring. She stated that one was approx 1/4ct and then small .0-.05pts. This happened in 2020. I keep all repairs like this in a box kept in safe for many, many years. If there are any rings, diamonds, gemstones those items will stay in this box. There are no diamonds here. It is unfortunate that this has been almost 4 years for her to remember that she had this done at Eddie Lanes. We would never risk our reputation on taking or keeping any small melee stones. All I can say is that I wish this had been addressed sooner.. I did not hang up on her, I expressed my sympathy that these diamonds cannot be found and told ******** that I had looked everywhere they could be. I also stated that I would keep looking and let her know. I do feel bad that these were her mothers but Eddie Lanes cannot be responsible for this.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

******** ****I beg to differ that she did not hang up on me because she absolutely did and it causes more mistrust given she is lying.
I was told to keep the receipts and bring them in when I picked them up.
As I stated to her, these were my Grandmother’s diamonds, not my mother’s as she stated.
Unfortunately, Covid happened and caused delay in retrieving them. I called during Covid and was told my diamonds would be there when I could pick them up. To be honest I had forgotten they were there until I was asked about them recently. Regardless of the time that has passed, my diamonds should still be in the possession of Eddie Lane’s Diamond Showroom.
Her response is unacceptable. Regardless of the size of the diamonds, they are sentimental to me and I want them back.
