August 3 I paid all the kings men $1530 To move my furniture into a rental house in the process they tore the walls up Also, they destroyed my refrigerator. It is banged up and scratched everywhere. They broke the seal and the refrigerator was almost new. They also scratched up one of my Antiques and some of my furniture. I tried to talk to the owner, and he basically refused to fix the refrigerator or anything he had someone come in to put the refrigerator doors back on it I canceled the check to try to get his attention to resolve the issue he went to the police and told them I was writing bad checks which I did not do. I canceled the check, and I have proof of that, but I ended up having to pay them through my bank account to keep myself out of jail and the police officer even tried to get him to resolve the issue with me, but he still refusedBusiness response

This customer committed theft of services and wrote our company a bad check. We explained to her what she did was a felony and tried to resolve the issue but she refused to pay. We reported her to the local police department and only then she decided to pay for her moving services. This is one of the oldest fraud types people use to steal moving services. Our company did a great job for her and it took a month to receive payment. Criminals like her should not be allowed to file complaints with the BBB. She admitted in her complaint that she purposely wrote a bad check. Her complaint needs to be deleted. Thank you.Customer response

This morning I called the storage place to see if we could get a video of when they moved it out of storage to show that the condition was fine. I should be able to get it back to you by the beginning of the week. Thank you.Business response

I’m over this man bullying me he came out the day after the mover moved me in I showed him everything thing they did and all he could say is it’s only a few scratches and dents had no care even after I canceled the check I was still trying to resolve the issue and all he has done is say I’m a criminal because I took some bad advice about canceling the check but still had every intention on paying which he was paid the only crime here is the total disregard and damage to my property I am a honest person who has taken care of myself I don’t need to take from people if anything I help people I’m a GOD fearing woman if you look at the receipt from the person he hired to fix the refrigerator says he broke the seal the doors don’t sit right because they were damaged movers didn’t even know how to take the car doors off all the way so they were just hanging not only that they did it up, pushing it through the doors and needed us to help get it up the stairs. They were stuck there for a long time did not have the proper equipment to move the refrigerator, I was trying to support a small business but I have learned my lesson from that I will pay more to use the bigger companies. I suggest anybody else do the same to make sure that your property does not get damaged
