I was issued an extended emissions warranty for my Audi vehicle as part of the "Dieselgate" class action lawsuit a few years ago. My vehicle is still covered under this warranty. However, the dealership's service center will not honor the warranty. To fix an issue, I was quoted to replace the Fuel Pump bracket, Fuel Pump belt, and Fuel Pump tensioner. Page 9 of my warranty states that "THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM" is covered. Parts & Labor. I'm considering finding a Consumer Lawyer.Business response

We have this vehicle in question belonging to a ********** ******. **** ****** may be the last owner? When said vehicle was towed in, it was not operating. It is a **** **** ** *** with 146,437 miles.
Upon inspecting, the engine had several loose parts disassembled and sitting on top of the engine. *** ****** was told that a broken drive belt bracket, pulley, and drive belt, has to be replaced and put back together in order to perform diagnoses. The estimate to replace the broken parts was $1,193.51+tax. Work was declined.
After that, a **** ****** calls to say that everything is covered under a warranty per Audi and that him and some other people said that the high pressure fuel pump is defective and that the dealer has to replace it.
*** ******, just like *** ****** was told, that the bracket that is broken along with the pulley and drivebelt are not covered by Audi's extended TDI warranty. If the high pressure fuel pump is defective, we are unable to confirm until the engine is in operating order to diagnose per Audi warranty policy and procedures.
*** ****** then raised his voice and started cursing to The Audi Connection service advisor and service manager that, "I will never spend a dime with you and we have to repair his car at no charge."
Service manager, Travis F******, repeated what is needed and, again, repairs were declined. After *** ****** continued to argue, he was advised to seek an opinion of another Audi dealership.
That was the last conversation.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.
** ******** ********* is my brother, who was borrowing the Audi. The statement that there were disassembled parts sitting on top of the engine when it arrived are false. The vehicle died while driving on the highway and was immediately towed to the dealership. The statement that ** ****** raised his voice and cursed at the employee on the phone is also a false statement. However, I do believe ** ******* may have done that. I have spoken with Audi Corporate and another dealership. Repairs will be made elsewhere. I will contact Audi connection to arrange pickup of the vehicle.
Regards,
**** ******
