The crew started on 11/21/22 and worked a full day. They returned on 11/22/22 worked from about 9am until 12pm and informed me that they will be back in two hours. Four hours passed and I contacted Carrie to find out if the crew was going to return that day? She informed me that yes and they were on their way back. Another hour and a half had passed and the crew finally returned at 5:30pm worked in the dark for the next two hours. On 11/23/22 the crew had not shown up and the garage wasn't completed and a roll of nails left on the roof. I contacted Carrie and was informed that the crew was on their way. The crew never showed up that day. On 11/24/22 Thanksgiving Day about 1:30pm the crew showed up without any notice worked on the garage for almost 3 hours. Once they had left my husband walked around our property and found empty alcoholic containers the crew had left in different locations on our property. Rob was contacted on 11/25/22 with the issues of the roof not being completed damaged items around the property the crew being intoxicated and of the tools including an open box knife being left by the crew. We were informed that all issues will be addressed and that the crew had been terminated. They went silent until 12/26/22 when Melanie called asking for the finale payment. Dan spoke with her, and Tru, they assured him that Tru was going to handle issues moving forward. On 1/3/23 the roof started to leak in multiple places. Tru came out and said they'll replace the ceiling fan and sent a crew out to tarp up the leaks. After disputing with Tru about alterations of vents and how we would prefer things to be repaired, Rob showed up on 1/13/23 to try and resolve the issue but also to threaten us with possible legal papers for nonpayment. We discovered that a Completion Form from Six Nails with our forged signatures was sent to State Farm on 12/7/22 to collect the final payment. Robs response was thats how we do it if you dont like it press charges.Business response

We signed a contract with Six Nails on replacement of our siding on our home in October of 21. No follow up from Six Nails until June of 22' about the siding. Siding replacement was started with out necessary ** code upgrade installed. I stopped Six Nails crew and asked them to correct. A few other minor issues were addressed and resolved during 2 day install. June 15th siding was finished. Aug heavy rains in the area lead to water pouring into our home, Six Nails came out insisted it was a roofing issue. More follow up with no response from Six Nails it cost me $3800 to repair roof. Additional rain came down and leak was not resolved. Issue was with siding. Wes and Tru came to my house took pictures agreed the siding was installed incorrectly, offered to fix after several days of repairs being made it is not fixed correctly and additional covered damage has been discovered. I sent and estimate to Six Nails for repair to my kitchen ($12k) which was ordering materials that did not match to our old cabinets due to age in an attempt to be flexible with the cost. In order to fix the kitchen correctly it is over $25k. Six Nails passed me off and told me to file an insurance claim with the sub contractor they hired to install the siding. I am stuck with paying to have the siding removed, damages made to foam insulation board repaired, vapor barrier upgrade uninstalled and re installed correctly, siding being reinstalled correctly and a remodel of my entire kitchen due to poor quality/incorrect siding installation. The damage to the foam insulation board likely extends around the entire 3 sides of the house and will require some additional inspection/removal of siding/repairs and replacements. This cost is unknown at this time but will exceed cost of the entire install of new siding.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
1)There has been no attempt from Six Nails to contact me.
2) "Tru" attempted to defraud my insurance company requesting on my behalf release of additional payments for incomplete work. Please note the signature line was falsely signed with out my consent or knowledge.
3) I have estimates attached to replace the siding that was installed incorrectly, costs to replace the damage to my kitchen as a result of the incorrect installation, finishing the installation of gutters and down spouts to my home (per our original contract), receipts for expenses I have been forced to pay out of pocket as a result of Six Nails sub contractor incorrect installation of the siding. This totaling over $64,514.
4)The rejection letter of the insurance company representing the subcontractor due to the client failing to respond. This company "***** *******" I was directed by Tru from Six Nails to contact about the loss.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

Our company believes we have made every reasonable effort to resolve *** ***** claims. We have communicated with him and have serviced his repairs. There was interior damage caused from the leaking. The amount and items damaged are what we disagree with. Currently *** *** has an outstanding balance of $12,365.54. His contract with Six Nails is for $17,016.69 and has made one payment of $4,651.15. Our Representative, Tru, had submitted a completion certificate to release and award the final funds to *** ***. After receiving, he did not make any other payments to us. The rejection letter is from the siding contractor and appears to still be pending. With the communication breakdown and differing resolution to monies owed, our company has turned this file over to our attorney for further action. *** *** will be receiving communication from him.
Thank you,
Laura H*****

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.1) My contract was for $7,000 for siding and gutters on my home. To date I still do not have gutters.
2) Six Nails is using deceptive business practices to over bill homeowner's insurance for inferior workmanship and materials.
3) The damage to my home far exceeds $12k, there is discovered hidden damage under the siding. Total to replace, fix holes and replace siding is $29K from Champion Window and Siding of Cincinnati.
4) I have not had any calls/emails from Six Nails since Weds Sept 28th at 2:42pm. I reached out to Tru on Oct 4th at 11:34am, Oct 5th at 3:59pm, and Oct 6th at 5:13pm with no response. Context of the messages were the Subcontractor's insurance company was rejecting the claim for their client ******* Siding.
5) I didn't contract ******* Siding to do the work and it is not my responsibility to file any claim with them. My contract is with Six Nails.
6) Attached is my contract with scope of work, a power point showing the amount of damage that was caused to my home by this subcontractor.

As stated at bottom of our Materials Contract, "Company's Limited Warranty: Warranty is for 2 years on full replacement contracts and 1 year on repair work contracts. No warranty exists until this contract is paid in full" I have highlighted the attached document. As of today, there is an outstanding balance of, $12,365.54. Also please note *** *** has initialed the following statement on the Materials Specification Contract, "Projected supplements are to be paid by your insurance carrier. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.this email doesn’t resolve anything. My contract was signed almost 2 years ago and the siding is still not installed correctly on the home. The scope of work was to include gutters and downspouts. Nothing has been stalled at this time. It is complete partial of Six Nails to state they are the ones who will determine if they are responsible for the thousands of dollars of damages. This is not to include the $7,000 I have already paid to get the leaks to stop. I have never seen a company that is this dishonest and void of business morals. The only acceptable outcome is restored to “before contract” condition!

Siding is cut short in certain sections on back and front of house. This is leaving gaps between the end of the siding and c channel that holds the siding in.
the vapor barrier upgrade fan food was several damaged under the siding by the installers and by the Six Nails employee who attempted to repair the leaking siding.
there are areas under the windows that have gaps in the siding allowing water leaks.
no gutters or downspouts have been installed. I have damage to a gutter on the back of the house that was caused by the Six Nails employee.
the installed punched holes in my foam board insulation leaving direct access holes into my sheetrock wall cavities.
I have paid over $7500 in out of pocket repairs to get the water leaks in the siding to stop, proper installation of the channeling that locks the top of the siding in and I have paid for insulation removal due to water, sheet rock removal, mold treatment and kitchen cabinets removed due to water damage.
this is all documented damage on the back of the house. There are also holes in the plywood covering the garage and unknown damage to the front of the home.

They came to my house and offered a free roof inspection. They said they found damage and asked who my insurance company was. They immediately called them and handed the phone to me. I felt uneasy and told them so. They said I had 3 days to cancel and I told them a lot depended on cost. After talking to insurance I called them the next day and told them it was out of my budget right now. They called me the next day and encouraged me to go through with the inspection to see if it was approved. Since then, they call me almost daily and leave messages, they text me almost everyday and show up at my house unannounced. One voicemail was offensive and sexually suggestive. Now they've left me a note saying I'm in breach of contract. I'm a single woman, living alone and it worried about them showing up and the aggressive/scare tactics.Business response

Our company completes 700 roofs per year and are proud to be an A+ member of the Better Business Bureau. Ms. ****** entered into a contract with our company and we fulfilled our obligations to her. She then breached her contract after her provided cancellation timeframe. Our company then proceeded with legal action. It was not until then, Ms. ****** notified the Better Business Bureau. We have attached the contracts Ms. ****** has signed and the letter mailed and delivered to her regarding our Notice to Commence Suit. We are seeking Ms. ****** to fulfill her contractual obligations as we have done. Otherwise, are company will proceed with legal action.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.Six Nails has 14 reviews of which 8 are complaints similar to mine. That's a 57.14% complaint ratio. I don't care how many roofs they do each year, but it falls within their complaint ration here, that about 399 roofs done under duress. I cannot help that their sales people do not act with integrity. I have also filed complaints with Kentucky Attorney General and have given everything to my personal attorney.
