I received this contractor from **** and was quoted a decent price, however, the price changed once he started the work, he said his partner said he didn't charge enough so I gave him an extra $ 350, then I gave him another $ 350 because he wanted to remove another tree because it would be easier for him to do the tree I wanted removed. He was supposed to remove two trees, remove all stumps, remove branches from over garage, replace the walkway bricks and spread the mulch to make the yard look nice and haul away all debris. However, he kept asking for money every two days in order to pay his workers and once he collected the money, he didn't complete the job. I have contacted him numerous times and he keeps saying he will come back and finish, but three weeks has passed and I'm sick of calling him. Instead of him removing the debris, he posted a notice in the neighborhood to let complete strangers come to my yard to get the wood I paid him to get rid of. He also asked my neighbor for money to help with the project because they were her trees, but I needed them cut down because the tree roots had grown over in my yard and damaged my fence. The money from my neighbor was to help with the project and did not take anything off, he pocketed the money. He then charged me an extra $400 to landscape the yard which he never mentioned before and he never did anything but spread the mulch out, he didn't bring the dirt, seeds or straw and I feel I deserve a refund for that. He didn't remove the branches from the garage, and he never relayed the bricks for the walkway, and he left a cord tied to the wires in my neighbor's yard and he also left wood in my yard that is too heavy for me to remove. The job ended up being $3000 and he got an extra $300 from my neighbor an extra $400 from me. I will never hire a small contractor again; a larger contractor would have been done in a day and their costs were comparable to what he ended up with. I tried to submit pics but it didn't work.
