On 5 September, 2023 Capital City Aviation improperly withdrew $1632.42 via ACH transaction from my bank account. I live in Charleston SC and they are based in Columbus OH. They previously had a business in Charleston but it closed its doors in April of 2023. After seeing the improper withdrawal I immediately contacted the owner, *** ******, and operations manager ******* ****** to ask why the money was withdrawn from my account since we have not done any business, or had any other interaction for about six months. They agreed I did not owe them any money and told me it was my bank's error and they never withdrew the money. I launched an inquiry with my bank as to why the money was withdrawn. They traced the ACH withdrawal request to Capital City's bank, Huntington Bank. (I have tracking numbers etc. should Capital City continue to deny improperly taking my money). Capital City blatantly lied to me that they had not made this withdrawl. Only when I confronted ****** and ****** via email on 2 Nov 2023 with the incontrovertible proof that their bank had withdrawn the money in question did they admit the error. ******* ****** then contacted me and told me I'd have the money returned within a week. Today is 10 November, it's been a week and Coastal City has still not returned my money.Business response

Capital City Aviation's bank took an Insurance ACH from **** ****** by mistake and **** filed a dispute with his bank. I approved the dispute with our bank so he would get the funds back right away. After speaking to the our bank they returned the funds to his bank and his bank needed to approve so he would receive the funds. I spoke with **** and shared with him to contact his bank that they needed to approve for him to receive the funds. I didn't realize this was going to be such an issue or we would have send him an electronic transfer instead of going through the dispute process. We never meant for this to be an issue and decided to send him the money through Venmo on the morning of 11/10/23 to resolve the issue quickly. We would never hold funds intentionally.Customer response
