I received the same letters that are previously posted, Notice of Lawsuit and Civil Complaint from Capital Legal Services dated June 12, 2024. I called the number they gave, ************. The number is disconnected. Is this for real? I dont remember this bill. I need to see a bill or something with my signature. There is no reference on this notice, only there file number and last four of my social. If its legit, why dont they give details? Why is there number disconnected?

Similar to a previous complaint, this complaint is about a company called Capital Legal Services, who changed their name to ********** ***** ********. They sent a letter to my dad (a senior) stating that he had a civil suit and to call ************** Ref #********** for a balance from ***** * ** from over 10 years ago. They said my dad owed over $4000 and that they would cut it down to where he would only pay the amount due, which was supposedly a little over $2000. My dad did not owe anything, but the woman said she was looking at the amount outstanding and that he tried to commit fraud. We set up payments for a year for $218.75/month. They asked for his social security #, and bank information and they have automatically removed that amount each month for the past 2 months. He then received a call from ****** ******** ******** that said they have no record of that and they could set him up for $200/month for 6 months. That got me concerned, so I sent my dad to the bank to report fraud and to stop payment on anything outgoing for both places. They need to be put in jail for scamming seniors.

I am being threatened by this debt collection company about an alleged ******* payday loan which is fraudulent someone used my SSN for personal gain. I recently received a threatening letter via mail from this entity demanding money or they will sue, garnish my wages and all kinds of actions attempting to intimidate me. But I have an attorney and he is ready to go legal. I advise this entity to stop psychological harassing me over a debt that I am not reliable for and they are not either, I have never signed a legal binding contract with Capital Legal Services if so I need to see a wet signature consumer app and proof of identity. I never received any kind of validation instead a threatening computer-generated letter, which does not explain anything and this will not get pushed under the rug. My attorney has a copy of the letter mailed to me, in which will be taking prompt matters.

I received a letter today from this company stating I have a delinquent payday loan from 2016, they had my employer at that time the last 4 of my social and my ex husbands name and my dead fathers name on this letter which lead me to believe it’s real. This is not a real company, the address is for the Columbus Ohio post office, when I googled “Capital Legal Services letter” I found many other letters that are scams that people have shared.

I have previously received phone calls from this business that eventually stopped when I refused to verify personal information. They also contacted my in-laws that I didn't even know at the time they claim this loan was received. I have now received the attached letter. I would like this business to stop contacting and harassing me and my family.

Got a letter saying I took out a loan which I haven’t and they are demanding I pay them $1,557.26 or they are taking legal action. They have people listed as witnesses should the matter go to trial and one of them is dead and the other had a different name when I was working for the business listed. The credit score they have listed is incorrect. This has to be a scam
