My ex-spouse, ****** ******, and I purchased a 2010 Dodge Avenger R/T in 06/2018. I signed as a co-signer and ****** was the sole driver of the vehicle. I made no payments throughout the course of the loan. My former name was ******* ****** at the time of purchase. VIN: ****************** ****** ****** filed a Chapter 13 bankruptcy on 08/19/2019 which included this vehicle. However, NAAC continued to negatively report on to the credit agencies despite on-time payments being made by Brandi. On 04/28/2020, the car was determined to be a total loss by Safe Auto Insurance. Both ****** and I were listed on the insurance policy. At the time of the loss, the Base Vehicle Value was $ 3,275.00. A Total of $ 2,116.00 was the final value of the vehicle when it was deemed a total loss. The remainder of this was calculated into Brandi's chapter 13 and she continued to pay on this based on the court-ordered payment plan. I called NAAC regarding the negative reporting on my credit report and was told that Brandi's chapter 13 had nothing to do with my financial obligation to pay. I informed them that ****** is already paying and that, it should be current. They demanded that I "continue" to pay. I insisted that I had never made payments. On 5/9/2020, I filed a Chapter 7 and listed this debt on the paperwork. However, at least twice, NAAC has continued to report negatively on my credit report. The first time in December 2021, my attorney again sent paperwork to NAAC demanding that they stop credit reporting as I was no longer responsible for the amount. Most recently, 04/2022 -- almost two years after filing, there is more negative reporting. I demand that this stop and negative reporting be removed from my credit report.

******* ****** and I communicated via email yesterday and came to an agreement.  I have already changed the credit bureau reporting code on the account to "Do Not Report", she will dispute any negative reporting on her bureau and I will agree with her upon receipt of the disputes from the credit bureaus.

      Better Business Bureau:

I accept the business's response to resolve this complaint.  However, we did not determine the reason for the inaccurate credit reporting to happen in the first place. For that reason, it may continue to occur later in a few months and, apparently, there is nothing I can do about it but continue to dispute it.
