I had the worst experience dealing with this company. My lender asked me to reach out to them regarding an old credit card and some questions they had. Not only did I wait on hold forever the representative I had was rude, difficult to work with and not helpful. I understand lenders have to do their due diligence but their are much better ways to go about it than putting customers through an experience like this.Factual Data, Inc. Response

This place is horrific. The company I am applying for a mortgage through is using them. They are getting half of their information wrong. So now I get to have conference calls with them and my current car loan company so that Factual Data can then tell my mortgage company what is currently owed. Why am I doing the work for them. How are they getting paid to say what I have already said and shown? They don't make any sense.Factual Data, Inc. Response

Factual Data provides credit information from Consumer Reporting Agencies (CRAs) to its clients, which are primarily banks, mortgage companies and other lending institutions that have a permissible purpose under the Fair Credit Reporting Act to obtain credit information for lending purposes. Credit supplements are a product ordered by our clients which are used to update information on accounts that may not have been reported to the Nationwide Consumer Reporting Agencies at the time the credit report was requested. If you have questions about the credit supplement process, please reach out to your lender directly or our Office of Consumer Affairs Department at 888-803-6465.Review from Matt P

I'll tell every business I can to NEVER use Factual Data for credit checking. It was an instant reaction once my lender checked my credit. Factual Data sold my data and I was inundated by phone calls over and over, at least 20 times yesterday and more today. When these companies call, they are like mosquitoes looking for blood, and they don't stop calling multiple times a day even when you tell them to take your number off their list and tell them to STOP!!!! I don't know what it is that Factual Data is doing, but it is obviously something the company is doing to trigger this or you wouldn't be seeing the same complaint over and over again. Zero stars.Factual Data, Inc. Response

Factual Data does not sell your information to any third party for marketing purposes. After applying for a loan, you may be contacted by other lenders or insurance companies soliciting your business. These lenders have obtained your information through the use of trigger leads, whereby an applicant’s information is sold by Equifax, Experian, and/or TransUnion for marketing purposes.Review from Ben W

My bank recently used Factual Data for a credit report. Within 24 hours of them pulling my credit i received over 55 phone calls and 25 text messages from solicitors regarding "potential" loans. Clearly they sold my information. How this is even legal is beyond me. Would never recommend and frankly these guys should be put out of business with those types of shady business practices.Factual Data, Inc. Response

Factual Data does not sell your information to other companies for marketing purposes. When a Factual Data customer requests a consumer’s credit file for an extension of credit, a hard inquiry is posted to the consumer’s credit file with the repositories (Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian). The repositories may sell consumer information under the Fair Credit Reporting Act to other companies for prescreened offers of credit. Those companies purchase lists to contact you with competing or supplementary offers. To opt-out of this practice with the repositories in the future, please visit optoutprescreen.com.Review from Joshua M

First the name, data is data this is repetitive and redundant. More importantly this company calls you during business hours and the first thing they request is your SSN to verify your identity without any further information. They are pushy and rude and I'm still not clear that they aren't a company designed to sell your information if not outright steal your identity. They also are wanting to pull my credit again even though the bank I'm getting the loan from has already done so. Disgusting.Factual Data, Inc. Response

Attorney General Must step in, this is harming, our years worth of hard work, this Factual Data, **** is harming our credit score, that took decades to maintain. I like to know WHY, the credit pull is impacting 60 points, what exactly is being done and why this practice is affecting so poorly. There must be some cunning reason behind so others can't obtain a certain threshold.I see absolutely nothing, that gives them a reason to harm and bring credit points down so low.We need thorough explanation and answers, and remedy to bring the credit where it was previously. This is a malacious practice to harm.Factual Data, Inc. Response

After speaking with Ms ****** with CBC companies I now know she also has access to my credit profile prepared by Factual Data without my authorization. So in addition to the 300 plus employees of Factual D she as a person employed by the parent company *** is able to see my personal information. This valuable credit history of mine has been breached by these companies at a loss to me due to a credit hit on 2 separate inquires in a single day while they all make a profit. Guess they are making a living by doing direct harm to a Consumer in *******. These companies making tens of millions should be stopped from making inquiries to a consumers credit without a direct authorization. Transunion, Equifax and Experian should reject these credit damaging practices as money making tactics against ******* Consumers!Factual Data, Inc. Response
