I have a strike loan through this credit union. I was making payments on time, and even paid more than the payment amount most payments until the past month or so. At the end of Jan, my car was stolen. I had full coverage insurance, because that paid for me to get a new used-car. Unfortunately, within 24 hours of having the car, service lights started lighting up the dashboard. The person I bought the car from gave me some money towards the repairs. I've been in touch with attorneys to see about getting the rest of my money back, but because the car cost less than $10,000, I would have to go to small claims court. No attorney between Columbus and ********** will take the case. They said I was pretty much out the money because I bought the car as is. I'm relating all this information because the person I talked to at the credit union was giving me a hard time about being late on the past two payments and was telling me what I should do to recuperate the money loss from the car so that I could pay the loan back. I have four payments left on this loan and though they said they were willing to work with me, they would do nothing to lower my payments or give me more time to pay. They basically want me to call and check in so that I can continue to be harassed about not making the payment on time. The lady I talked to even had the nerve to say that this payment was just as important as all of my other monthly bills. I don't think this is as important as my house payment or my utility payments, so unfortunately this is the bill that isn't getting paid. I told the woman that I plan on paying the loan back, it just might not be as timely as I would have liked. She was very rude and kept asking personal questions like didn't I have insurance on the car? Why am I not taking this to court? I told her I'm going to take the advice of the attorneys over her as I would be wasting my time in court with this. I guess this credit Union is fine as long as you are not late on payments.

Rude. Response in a untimely manner. Racist. Asked questions that have nothing to do with loan process.

On 10/27/2022 ***** ****** submitted an online application for an auto loan. It was declined. On 10/31/22 ***** ****** submitted an unsecure personal loan application for repairs on her vehicle. It was denied. She was offered a counteroffer for a lesser amount, and it was suggested she might want to find a cheaper repair estimate. 11/1/2022-We determined she had purchased a warranty on her vehicle and suggested she could file with the warranty so that work could begin on her vehicle right away. We could then finance the balance needed with the estimate invoice from the repair shop. 11/3/2022-Ms. ****** stated to the loan officer that she had done everything she needed to do and to stop asking questions. We told Ms. ****** that with a warranty denial and an invoice from the repair shop we may be able to lend money and make the check payable to the repair shop. 11/14/2022-Phone call was returned to Ms. ****** to explain again what was needed to proceed with the loan. 11/17/2022-Ms. ****** informed us that her warranty would work, and she would provide us with the paperwork necessary. The work began on her vehicle with the warranty. We would be refinancing her vehicle here for the amount due over the warranty and add it to her existing loan. Resolved: 11/23/2022-Loan was refinanced, and balance of the repair shop bill was paid. All questions were answered in a timely manner. We understood that Ms. ****** was anxious to get her car repaired. Due to the nature and circumstances of the loan requested we had to offer her other options. This matter is considered resolved.
