On March 20, 2024, a refrigerator was delivered to me, purchased at Lowe's. A third party delivery service, Matos Motorfreight LLC sent these 2 people out of Columbus, OH. In order to get it into my home they removed my front door and the storm door. When finished, they reinstalled the main steel front door, but re-attached the storm door only by the top hinge. This door is very seldom used, and I didn't notice anything wrong until I heard a noise and found the storm door hanging from the top hinge only. I reported this on to Lowes and asked it be fixed. On April 4, I was contacted by email from Matos. I explained what happened. Was assigned Claim #******. Today, I received a letter dated April 19th denying any liability for the damages. They said the door was old (I have no idea - all I know is it worked fine before they got there), the damage shown appeared to be "normal wear and tear" (really? Entire door gaped away from the house, pneumatic arm bent), that I bent the door trying to fix it (nope, only thing I did was try to close it. I bent nothing. I broke nothing.) Then they claim that my attempt to fix it (which never happened) takes away any liability they had. This is insane. They broke my door. I don't have the resources to fix this. Can you please help?
