In early January 2021, McLurg flooring installed carpet that I purchased from ******* ***** ******. They were an independent contractor. The upstairs carpet was installed ok, the steps fair. The carpet installation in the living room was not ***e correctly and was not thought out as to were the seams would be, I have a seam at the bottom of the steps that is pronounced. But that was really not the problem it is the seam that was put in the path of walking into the living room. From the right side of room there is a upside down L seam that when I was vacuuming a piece came out. This seam I was not happy with from the start he Mike McLurg gave me every excuse possible, 1 saving me money 2 that how the carpet came out etc. He Mike Mclurg has been out three times on this matter two times he has trimmed the seam the last time which was the end of March 2022 he came out and redid the seam, He snuck out why I was on the phone I called Mike McLurg again and told him the seam looked know better it is very pronounced, and I wanted the carpet changed out at his expense. Well Mike declined to do that, and that is why I'm contacting BBC. I was stuck with the carpet like that and I could have lived with it until a piece of the carpet came out and you can see it. He McLurg carpet has tried three times to correct this and it can not be corrected, the carpet in the living room needs replaced. I paid McLurg flooring for there expertise and the carpet was not though out sizing wise per room if it was the seam would not have been were it was put. Please help; ****** RhoadesBusiness response

I’ve bent over backwards to try to make ****** a happy customer I also explain to him that he is almost a full year outside of his warranty. I warranty all labor for one year. The standard in the industry is now 90 days. After explaining that to ***, I still tried to make him happy by offering free labor if he would like another carpet.Customer response

Mike Mclurg has been out three times over the 1 year period. I complained about the job from the start and over this period the carpet has deteriorated. The seam sticks out like a sore thumb, the job was not ***e correctily from the start and i am
doing this so know body else uses his services . Please help I have talked to other carpet installers and they would not have put a L shape seam in the entry walkway.

All three times ****** complained when I explain to him that he was past his warranty. But I did try to satisfy him. I made him an offer to help and he refuses. He Understands that. But still insists on getting something for nothing.
