      This hotel has a scam in place with out of town customers. They try to charge your card with fees hours before check-in. Then they say it didnt work (maybe because they are not authorized to charge these extra fees to people who are not checked it). They cancel your reservation and upon arrival let you know theyve canceled your reservation, but will give you a room for many additional charges because now it is the same day of your booking. Absolutely terrible practice. Do not stay here.

      I am giving this 1 start only because it won't let me proceed with zero stars, which you don't deserve 1 star even lol...I booked rooms on December 6, 8, and 9, 2022 for an event that was happening on August 11, 2023. I have family coming in town for the event and needed 3 rooms which I was able to book for $108.99 each with a discounted corporate rate. For some reason the hotel ran my credit card on May 11, 2022 and said it declined (which looking at my statement I have charges on that same card every day of that month, so how it declined is beyond me) and never notified me, but cancelled all 3 of my rooms. On Thursday August 3rd, nearly a week before we are supposed to stay my daughter who is coming from out of town asked me to tell her the rate. As I looked up our reservations on my rewards account which we have been a member of since 2014 I find out that we have NO RESERVATIONS AT ALL. The location has cancelled all 3 rooms and didn't bother to tell me. I spoke with the Corporate office several times (disconnected, promised return calls from them and hotel manager, none of which happened) and they are trying to get me to rebook the rooms at the current rate of $500+. It is completely unacceptable, I would never pay those rates for 1 room let alone 3 rooms. They continue telling me thank you for being a valued rewards member etc. I feel we have really been treated horribly! This has totally put a damper on our whole trip that I planned 8 months ago!!! CRAZY!! Anytime I am ever able to book a different hotel I will gladly do it and will hopefully never have to give any IHG hotel my business again! I understand I am just a little peon in their big corporate world but it isn't good business! I will also share with anyone and everyone I know our experience as well! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! Do better Holiday Inn Express!!!

      This hotel erroneously charged me $350 three days after my one night stay for a smoking fee that was not true. They wouldn't let me speak to manager and refused to remove the charge. They didn't even tell me about the charge until I asked. I only got 2 hours of sleep because of the noise they finally resolved after 3 complaints. Missed breakfast because timeframe given was not accurate. Stay away!

      The hotel overcharged my stay and refuses to refund me the correct amount.The hotel spun four different stories as to why they charged what they did, putting the blame off them and onto me, then onto corporate, then back onto me. But I have all the receipts, confirmation numbers, and transaction numbers to prove I was overcharged, and that it was the hotels billing issue.Once I gave them the proof, the manager ***** turned off all lines of communication with me, saying he was done with this back and forth. So, I am out of the money. I brought this to the attention of the hotels corporate office, who basically told me my hands are tied because it is up to the hotel, not corporate, to refund me.

      The manager, ********************* was rude to me and my friend as I proceeded to check into the Holiday Inn Express Suites on ********************. This was my second time staying here, and then front desk attendant told me that because my license was a ******** license they would need $150 in cash as a deposit. I was trying to gain a better understanding of this policy seeing as I hadn't been asked to pay this during my previous stay and I couldn't understand why it had to be cash.The manager, *****, rudely walks up with no name tag, no mask and refused to identify himself even though we asked multiple times if he was management and what his name was. His response "I don't have to give you that information."My main concern is that he would refuse give us his name or the name/contact information for management. He pointed his finger in my friend's face and was utterly and completely rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Express Suites **** State or any other properties owned by Sintel Properties - as customer service is not a priority for him or his company.
