The rental company running Caravan Village is flagrantly breaking the tenant landlord law. They refuse to return security deposits. They are charging people for normal wear and tear on property. Painting and replacing shades that were dry rotted. When trying to contact them, they refuse to have any communications. They will not speak to anyone! There is no way to resolve issues with this company!Business response

To Whom it May Concern:
We received a complaint from a relative of a deceased resident. The complaint ID is ********, ******* *******.
Ms. ******* is trying to obtain a security deposit for a relative that used to live in our community. The relative rent a home from us located at **** ****** ******* *** **** Columbus, OH 43223.
Ms. ******* was not on the lease nor has she provided proof of power of attorney over her relative's affairs. Therefore, we have informed her we cannot disclose any further information until we are provided such proof. In addition, we completed a security deposit reconciliation and due to the damages to the home, no security deposit would be refunded anyway.
I appreciate your help in assisting us to resolve this matter.

I am rejecting this response because: First the company has not requested documentation of POA. However, ******* ***** lived there 4 years and the damage they are charging for, painting and blind replacement, is against the the laws of Ohio. Those items are normal wear and tear on the property.
