I purchased a billboard for our business All Terrain Tree Removal. It was supposed to go up on July 17, and I paid for four weeks of advertising. The billboard was put up on July 21 a Friday. After being told this was industry standard, I was also told that I would still receive my 4 weeks that I paid for. The billboard was taken down on Aug 13. When you calculate this that is about $650.00 in paid for advertising that I did not get. This is an expensive advertisement and a small town hardworking business would expect to get what they paid for. I have contacted the salesperson who I purchased the original billboard with who stated that they would need to speak to the vendor. I am only asking for a refund of my fourth week or they can put the billboard back up. After originally speaking with this individual, I have tried to contact to follow up by text email and phone call and have no response. This entire purchase is beginning to sound like a scam to collect funds for expensive marketing that is not provided for the time period paid for. I have an email from one of the representatives stating that the billboard is up and that I would receive the four weeks I purchased.

Our sincere apologies for this experience. In this case, the billboard operator mistakenly installed another advertisement early. We processed a refund for the customer (see screenshot) in the requested amount and worked with the operator to make certain this issue will not arise again.

On 11/12/2021 I purchased a billboard ad for my book release on billboardsin that was priced on the website $1210.00 since my team researched in October (which I have the screenshot in which my marketing manager sent me of the billboard & pricing on a October 5th). Our billboard is supposed to be posted on 11/29/2021 on 11/18 I received an email stating the company made a error on the pricing and it’s $920.00 more than it was stated on the website with no proof of documentation of this error with the correct pricing. Which as I stated prior this “error” had been up for a month and a half prior to contact which I don’t understand how the company didn’t have time to correct it then. I sent the screenshots of my contract, the screenshot of when we researched the billboard a month ago and the pricing, and the terms of use which doesn’t state how the company will handle errors with pricing on their website. When I asked for this documentation my “ personal account rep” again TEXTS saying I need to pay the remaining balance of $1020.00 on 11/23/2021 just days before my billboard is contracted to be posted. Now this is 2 separate emails that have 2 different remaining pricing on the email and the company has yet to send me and documentation of the error, the correct pricing, and my assistant asked for documentation to prove there was no intent to deceive with the incorrect pricing stated multiple times. We assume the business is trying to change the pricing from the contract last minute due to the area that is located ( in front of the panthers football arena) being that is game season and the traffic that it brings. Which should have been changed prior to the contract and the season.

BillboardsIn is a two-sided marketplace. As our terms and conditions state, we cannot force a billboard seller to accept a contract from a buyer. In this case, the board was incorrectly listed at the incorrect price. Once the issue was escalated to management (Ian, to person responding here) we were able to waive BillboardsIn.com's fees on the campaign. By doing the campaign at cost (at a loss, really) we were able to drastically reduce the difference between the price the originally (erroneously) shown to the buyer and the correct price. Additionally, BillboardsIn paid to overnight the printed materials to the vendor so that the campaign could still start with the minimal delay, as a result of the difficulty in the contracting process. The client's campaign is now live and far as BillboardsIn is aware, the client is now satisfied with their experience.
