The agency took my money for application fees and then never actually completed my application. The house I applied for was already taken but left on the website to continue to collect application fees to which the agency didn’t even complete. The woman ****** called and said that FABCO information from NC never cane back and that my application was still pending and I have still yet to receive an approval or denial of my application. ****** just never called back. I believe that the company is a scam as they take people’s money for application fees but never actually complete the application.Initial Complaint

In January 2024 my stove stopped working suddenly. It would turn on but wouldn’t get hot. I contacted Roost Real Estate Co about the issue. They sent maintenance who claimed the stove was broken. They wanted me to buy a new stove. I did not break it so I refused. They bought a new stove. That one did not work. They returned that one & bought another one. Both brand new from ******. Once again that second new stove didnt work either. Finally after FOUR weeks they realized it was an electrical problem and told me I had to get *** to fix it. *** found a wire over the house that was chewed up by animals & fixed it. Just like that stove started working. I asked for ONE WEEK’s worth of reimbursement for having to purchase takeout for first week. They flat out refused & said I basically should be grateful because they should’ve made ME buy the stove. Even though after an entire MONTH & TWO BRAND NEW STOVES the problem turned out to be electrical & me buying a new stove would’ve solved NOTHING. Had maintenance done their due diligence & found the problem the FIRST week I contacted them I would’ve never had to been without a working stove & spent all that money on takeout for me & my daughter. My first weekend after moving in, I moved in a Friday, that Saturday morning I had FECES coming from under the toilet onto the floor & through the bathtub as well as through the kitchen sink! It took them over 4 days to send a plumber who said the pipes are damaged beyond repair & need ripped up but the company doesn’t want to pay for it as they had worked for them before. I never requested reimbursement for the hotel rooms I had to get the TWO times this happened. But after the stove incident I felt the least they could do is reimburse me for a WEEK’s worth of food. I’m not even asking for the whole month it took them to figure out what was wrong with the stove. Now 2 days ago they came to fix my clogged kitchen sink again and charge me $180 to use a plastic snake to unclog. UnethicalInitial Complaint

yes iam filing a complaint against roost real estate co because they are very disrespectful i did everything by the books i sent them a 30 day notice they turn around saying i need a 60 notice so i sent them that then they threatening to file a eviction on me and ruin my credit then they charging me $96.25 for they tech guy to comeout but they never notify me somebody was coming so how was that my fault they know dont have nothing on me so they gone rack up some crazy charges trying to swindle some money out of me this company is a scam artist like i lost my keys months ago i put in a service request but they told me it will be 175 for some keys so i went without for months and the lock and keys is from the key company kwikset so i went to home depot got a twin pack kwikset keys and change the locks myself and then feb 10 2023 they sent me a 3 day notice to leave the premise i did on that same day feb 10 2023 so today they threaten to ruin my credit and put in collections cause i told them they cant file a eviction on me if i already moved out on feb 10,2023 they are very unprofessional and disrespectful
