See attached documents dating from September 19, 2021 - January 5, 2022, which includes the events surrounding this situation.
On Wednesday, January 4, 2022, the service technician from Anglin Equipment — CJM Solutions installed the cable in my car lift in my home garage after 3 h months of waiting due to a variety of excuses. The installer re-ordered the car lift cable and brought it with him.
As he began the installing process, I asked him if 'he needed a special tool to raise the lift so that all 4 of the lift would be level when raised? The technician said no.
When the technician was testing the lift, I asked him why it wasn't locking in place as the lift was moving up?" The technician replied, "No, I just need to lift the broken cable."
I shared, "I was told that, if during repairs, if all 4 legs are not kept level, the lift could be damaged!" The installer said, "That's not true, I'm only lifting the broken cable leg slightly off the ground."
At that point the installer informed me he was ok and if he needed my help he would call me.
Once the installation was complete, I returned to the garage for the technician to test the car lift. As I observed the lift moving up, it failed to "click" at each level up.
I asked the technician why was it was not "clicking" as it raised to each level? The technician said, "Probably because your garage is not level or this piece here is bent!"
I replied, "My garage is not the problem, and nothing is bent! Could it be the way you changed the cable?" The technician did not answer my question, informed me had another appointment and was leaving.
As he was leaving, I asked the technician if he is going to take the previously ordered, incorrect cable with him? The technician said "No."
I asked the technician for my invoice. The technician said, "The office will contact you!" The technician left my home.
Later that day, I received a call from Anglin Equipment — CJM Solutions, asking how I wanted to take care of my invoice?
I asked the amount of the invoice? I was told $314.00.
I asked if the invoice amount included a deduction ofthe cost of incorrect cable previously ordered by Anglin Equipment — CJM Solutions?
The young lady on the phone informed me that I would need to contact the company I purchased it from and work that out with them.
I shared with her, that Anglin Equipment — CJM Solutions ordered the cable. (See enclosed invoice)
