On 7/22/24, business owner, ***************************, received a check from us for $4,400. We stressed that communication about the process and timeline was imperative to us ant our initial meeting and prior to taking our money had been communicative. His communication came to a screeching halt after cashing our check. After ignoring three texts and a couple attempts to reach him by phone, he finally responded on 8/1/24. He admitted to not having filed a necessary permit with our local township, claiming he would do it on 8/5. That would make it two full weeks with very limited contact, numerous ignored messages and we were fed up. After reading several other complaints on the company website and the BBB, his ghosting of clients was clearly habitual. His response on 8/1 was followed by another series of ignored messages at which I told him we were not going to continue with this incredibly unprofessional behavior and were now facing the possibility of thinking of retaining an attorney to get our money back. It was only the mention of legal action that prompted him to finally respond on 8/7. He made no apology, just gave excuses and admitted that he had not kept his word about filing our permit, stating he had only dropped it off on 8/7, not 8/5 as he had promised. We demanded our money back and he said he would return it. Not surprisingly, he ignored my deadline of Sunday 8/11 for the returning of our money. His company is clearly floundering and Im guessing he spent our $4,400 as soon as he cashed our check. We want an immediate refund and counsel other folks who are interested in solar to avoid Gemini Solar at all costs.Initial Complaint

1) System installed and online Aug2022. System is not Monitored, Inspected, or Maintained per Installation Agreement. There are 3 instances in which 25% of my system was down, and Gemini did not catch. They have yet to acknowledge responsibility to perform these services at specified intervals per the Solar Installation Agreement attached to this complaint. A former ** ******* ******* ****** *****) declared they do not monitor any sites, and that it is customer's duty to monitor and report outages for them to resolve. If not performing, compensation required for services sold/paid for BUT not rendered, to cover 3rd party costs to cover these contractual.obligations. 2) Out of the past 9 months, 10 panels have been down for 125 days and continues to increase due to lack of monitoring, and ongoing repair delays and failures. The 1st outage was 10/19/23-1/3/24. The 2nd was 5/23-6/10/24. The 3rd outage began 6/16/24.and is still unresolved. Compensation is needed for lost production due to recurring outages and repair delays. 3) Repairs still require completion to the 10 panels down since 6/16/24 in the latest incident. 4) Resolution on 30yr Warranty sold, but not registered with their partner (***********) timely. Either obtain the same warranty coverage from *********** (or like company), -OR- compensate me for the value of the warranty product included in my purchase price, so I can obtain elsewhere. 5) Communication. At first, their team and ******** ** ********** ********* ********** were responsive to emails and phone calls. With the latest ongoing panel issue, I have followed up numerous times, and with their last reaponse on 6/24/24 (more than 2 weeks). They also do not answer phones or respond to voicemessages. ******** has been dodging my followups in the warranty issue since 4/29/24. All I'm seeking, is for them to exercise some basic customer service skills to provide status updates and set expectations for resolution as issues arise.Initial Complaint

We signed a contract aggreement with Gemini and also a Loan Company ****** for a Solar Roof Install. Since the contract was signed their was an extensive amount of time between the signing and the attempted install. (More then what was descibed through email about 12 months when descibed to me only about 3 months) There was email back and forth that it would be about 2 weeks before install and then went back and for about 3 or 4 times. It was agreed that after the install or 3 months after the contract was signed payments would not start until after 18 months. Our solar roof initial install was labled with a bad inverter. That initial install was December of 2023. They came back about 2 months later with the replacement inverter which after installed was determined of not being the problem. After extensive troubleshooting for the next week they were still not able to determine the problem with the install. I have been trying to communicate with the owner via text and also our sales rep on getting a resolution for the install and working solar roof and have yet to hear back. Contaract aggreement was 25k +. Part of the aggrement contact with Gemin mentions that after 90 days of installation if not meeting the agreed terms that the contract can be terminated (if I am reading it correctly). We just want the problem resolved and also would like the terms of the payment aggrement pushed back as to after the install is completed. I have included our aggrement with Gemin Solar for visibility. We appreciate any help that could be provided by the BBB. Thank you, ***** *******Business response

We had to RMA his inverter to the manufacturer. They sent a new one. We installed it and it did not fix the issue. We have isolated the issue and have purchased the parts to fix it and are waiting for them to be shipped. We are working on completing a solution for the customer and providing a refund for any missed time during their promotional period.Initial Complaint

In September of 2021, I was issued a loan from ****** bank through their relationship with ***** ********** (now known as Gemini Solar) for more than $34,000 for six solar panels. Less than a year after purchase, the microinverters stopped working – making the panels useless. Repeated attempts to contact them have yielded two unsuccessful visits (they were unable to get them working again), followed by silence in unreturned correspondence with both ****** and Gemini. My account number with ****** is ************ Not sure if I was ever given one by ***** ********** or Gemini.Business response

I called and texted the customer after the system was confirmed to be fixed last week by our repair techs. I determined through the wireless monitoring of the system that the panels that were down would have produced 2964.79 kwh's. At .16 per kwh over the last year the total refund comes to just under $475. I called and offered to pay for the missing production and am awaiting a response.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: While they did repair they system, I have yet to receive the refund. Only after receiving what I am due will I withdraw my complaint.
