On October 23, 2023 my wife took her 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe in to have the windshield replaced. They called and said they were not able to recalibrate the system and we should take it to Ricart where we purchased it to have the recalibration done. When we went to Ricart they found the harness had been cut when the windshield was replaced and needs a new one. **** ******* said his “guy” would replace it but they never did. They tried to splice the wires but that did not work and he told my wife they had replaced it. We took it back to Ricart and they removed the housing and showed us the still damaged harness which they gave an estimate of $5,461.68 to replace.We have involved our insurance company in this matter.Business response

The business is extremely surprised that this complaint was filed. When ******* ***** picked up the vehicle, after having a rental car paid for by the business for 3 days, she expressed her appreciation of the business taking care of the issue and the business relayed at this time if there were any additional issues, please let them know. The business stated they did not hear back from anyone until this complaint was filed. The business asked that the consumer contact them directly and they will work to help with any issues.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The vehicle was returned without being repaired so we had to take it to Ricart automotive for an estimate to repair. Again, to resolve this issue the business needs to have their insurance company pay to repair the damaged harness they cut through when replacing the windshield. There is no issues with the window installation.

Thank you for reminding me. At this time, we have made multiple calls to them to let them know the insurance claim is ready for them, but she does not return our voicemails. The insurance company is Grange and she can contact them directly, the claim number is ************.Customer response
