6-20-2022 Paid $91.16 to get low oil pressure diagnosed. Talked to the owner told him I have great oil pressure when truck is cold with thick oil but when it warms up and the oil loses its viscosity the pressure drops to 0 lbs when truck is stopped and in gear. Told him oil pressure gauge read good while driving. I made a point to bring this scenario to his attention for use in his diagnosis. Picked the truck up that afternoon and the diagnosis "found the engine to currently make the minimum oil pressure for the truck". Owner suggested replacing the oil pump. Set an appointment for 6-29-2022 dropped off truck and gave the owner a written scenario the same as above to refresh his memory. When I picked up the truck I paid $636.74 for oil pump and labor. Left with the truck. Drove the truck to work the next day and had the exact same scenario. The truck had great oil pressure when it was first started and cold but when it warmed up and you stopped in gear the oil pressure dropped to 0 lbs. oil pressure. Stopped back that afternoon and stated the truck was doing the exact same thing. The owner pretty much said it is what it is. Told me everything they did, this, that and the other but wouldn't admit that his diagnosis was off the mark and there was never anything wrong with the oil pump they replaced. He pretty much made it clear he wasn't interested in resolving the issue. I had to leave to cool down but I returned a few days later to try to work something out and again he felt nothing needed to be resolved. I feel that him replacing a perfectly good oil pump because of his terrible diagnosis and charging me $727.90 equates to highway robbery!!! I work hard for my money and there is no reason for me to have to pay a business to essentially guess at what is wrong with my truck and then throw my money at there bad guess to try to fix the issue. If I pay for a diagnosis and it is wrong why should I have to pay for the diagnosis and unneeded work that fixed nothing??????

In March company checked  U joints and greased them and was told by you not to do anything with oil pressure.  Then in June you came to the shop and wanted them to check the oil pressure again as it appeared oil pressure was dropping.  Company checked the truck and found there was enough oil pressure to keep t he truck running, but 9 days later you came back in and they put in a high pressure engine oil pump.  To install the oil pump, they had to take down the oil pan and re-gasketed oil pan.  At that time it was making the proper oil pressure and they did not hear further from you.  They completed the work you paid them to do at the cost they normally charge. They were surprised to hear of this complaint, as IF the work they performed was faulty, they would take another look.  They said your truck is a 1994 F150 and it is not unusual for problems to occur in an older vehicle.

In response to there response to my complaint. When I took my truck in to get it diagnosed they diagnosed the truck as making sufficient oil pressure and I agreed and explained the oil pressure is fine until the truck gets warm that is when the oil pressure drops to 0 pounds oil pressure on the gauges. After the diagnosis I set an appointment, for the next available opening which was 9 days later, to fix the issue. I never told them to install a new oil pump. I'm not sure why they would replace a perfectly good oil pump. They diagnosed the oil pump as making sufficient pressure and we both agreed that the oil pump was working properly. Why should I have to pay to replace an oil pump that they themselves said was making sufficient pressure? I paid for a diagnosis ,they diagnosed it, they didn't follow there diagnosis and replaced an oil pump that was making sufficient oil pressure with a new pump that is making the same sufficient pressure as the old pump. There own diagnosis said the oil pump was working sufficiently. I never told them to replace the oil pump. I told them to fix the oil pressure issue when the truck warms up. The fact that I never stopped back to address the issue is a total fabrication. It's a shame that the owner makes his daughter fabricate lies to cover his mistakes. I never stated the work they performed was faulty just that it was work that didn't fix the issue.
