I hired for $4100.00 CDC Contracting on 10/4/2023 to clear a few trees. Their men did an excellent job; however James Curran promised to give me a container of brush clearing liquid. It is now almost 10/23/2023 and it still hasn't been delivered, even though I have mentioned it a couple of times. This may seem minor, but it shows that this company is not good on it's word along with being quite expensive.

On June 19th I had CDC come out to provide a quote for work. They provided a good price and I wanted to move forward, but was slightly concerned about spending the amount the following day. They offered a line of credit option to which I showed interest in and told them I would like to think about how I wanted to pay but would like them to do the work. They provided me a contract whilst I spoke to the neighbor (who would be affected by the tree service), but my neighbor wanted to be at home for the work to which I told the salesman we would have to wait to do the work. The next day the salesman called me to tell me the workers were on their way, to which I noted my previous mention of my neighbor wanting to be there and that I had not actually agreed to them coming out yet Several days later, I learn that CDC ran a credit check and opened a new account in my name that has been charged $2500 (the amount for the job). I had signed nothing and agreed to nothing formally. I spoke to the salesman who blamed me for the miscommunication of them opening the account and coming out the first day.

Cdc apologizes if there was any miscommunication regarding your project we train our sales reps to fully explain all the details regarding finance prequalification you were never charged the $2500 because you never signed the final sales slip. We had to get the information regarding your prequalification from you to be able to even get a prequalified approval or denial . Our sales reps are trained to go over and beyond to help all potential clients and repeat clients to provide solutions and professional opinion to be able to help them with their project . If there is anything else that we could do to help you with your project please give me a call. Thank you.

On 09/15/2022 my boyfriend and the owner of this business, *****, called me to inform me he could top a tree for me for $2500 cash if it was done this day because he was removing trees nearby. We had previously been quoted $3000 to get the job done if paid in cash anytime. There was quite a bit of back and forth as he was contacting me at work which I had explained several times. ***** became very pushy over the phone when I ended up declining the $2500 and asked to plan for another day for the original quote of $3000. I was very transparent and clearly stated I was uncomfortable with how pushy he became. ***** even went as far as to tell me "...Do not give me anything about how I'm treating you. I'm prepared to do your job and not even be paid when I'm done. Do you know what, don't even worry about working with us because you do not get the privilege to work with us." after I mentioned my discomfort. His referencing of no payment was in regards to him trying to push me to break up payments over the next couple of weeks as it was short notice. He pushed a credit line on me as well as paying with a credit card. ***** tried to blame it all on the price of diesel fuel at one point. VERY VERY unprofessional not to mention that it came off like a scam. I would be VERY hesitant to trust this company to take care of any contracting jobs and I really felt this was an interaction that should be shared. I just want my tree to be topped for the original agreed upon price of $3000. (I have retained screenshots if needed.)

We greatly appreciate the opportunity to provide a quote to ******* & ********. We initially dealt with ********’s partner *******; he informed us they needed assistance with an extremely high degree of difficulty tree project. One of our crews was working with two repeat clients within 2 miles of ******* & ********’s property. I spoke with ******* he advised us to connect with his partner ******** so both of them were able to ask questions about the tree project and make a joint decision. CDC Contracting was willing to work with them on price since we were already in the same neighborhood that week working with a couple of our other clients. We went back-and-forth with ******** via text message. Initially she was going to pay us so much money once the job is done and then the remaining within a week of the project being completed. We do not typically do these sort of payment plans but we figured since she was in the same area as our repeat clients and she would pay more than 75% once the job was completed we would work with them since it was a job that they really needed done and we wanted to work with them to get the tree removed in a timely manner due to it being a safety hazard for their home.

Unfortunately, I don’t think it was in the best interest for either party to try and get this deal resolved via text message. I do truly think both parties were trying to work out a formidable deal but I believe certain text messages got miscommunicated on both ends. It is our job as a company to clearly communicate what we are able to do and we felt very good about being able to help them with their tree project. We were willing to do something we don’t typically do which is not collecting all the money once the job is satisfactory done. We attempted to workout several different options for our client but Once we had a deal they switched it up and wanted to stretch payment out another two weeks. We are more than willing to try and work through this issue but find it very difficult to find an amenable solution that works for the client since we did not do the job and they will not pick up the phone as we have attempted to try and call and see how we can help.

The job was completed the first week of June. It was a joint effort between my neighbor and I. We had some major drainage issues. CDC contracting came in and removed several trees from my neighbor's yard. Then then installed drainage tile, a several catch basins along with french drainage in our yards. This all was attached to the city sewer system. I discussed with ***** ****** on several occasions the co-owner of the company that I wanted my lawn returned to the condition it was in prior to them beginning work. I was assured and even asked about the kind of sod and grass seed that I had used in my yard. My neighbor even stated he wanted his yard to look like mine when they were done. I have text messages with pictures of the seed that was supposed to be used. Both my neighbor and my yard look nowhere near what my yard looks like prior to the work being done. There are many bare spots and no topsoil was put down. The clay and rocky soil that was dug up to put the drainage tile in was reused, therefore the base for the grass seed was subpar. (Undesirable for a good foundation for the grass seed) they used another type of grass seed mix so the grass does not match the rest of my yard. There are many bare spots with rocks that grass did not grow. I have called and texted him on many occasions to have him come back and look at the yard and fix what needed fixed. They have been ignored. The crew came out one evening to look at the neighbor's yard and never did anything in my yard except tell me there was nothing wrong with it. I've provided plenty of pictures of the finished product for you to evaluate. Thank you
