They are crooks. All they want is money. They don't try to work with you when a there is a hardship. They will evict you. If you late and it go over the 5th 350 charge for eviction. You never went to court they never filed. They just tack what ever they want onto to ledger. Then be ready to throw you out if you don't pay. The are scammers. I wish I had read all reviews before I dealt with this company. They go up every year on rent.

I applied for a house got approved and everything so they took it off the market. Then due to a fault of their own, when getting everything through Housing Authority said that I couldn’t get the house even though Housing Authority said that they were going to adjust the paperwork to match what they were wanting, then called and reported what was going on to the main office Then got told I was gonna get switched back to that house since it was their fault just to be told again after being told this that somebody else applied so I would have to choose a different house Even though I already applied first and got approved first and everything that went wrong was the fault of their company I’m very high risk pregnant and that was all they had that could accommodate my needs for me and my kids and they are stringing me along and playing some bullshit Even on their website, it says first approved well, I was approved first even called the main office again after being told that and even the main office said since I applied first, I should get dibs, but the office in Kansas City does not want to listen so there will be a better business Bureau made, and Attorney General report made and there will be multiple reports made a few different spots Because this is ridiculous, and I should not be having to go through this

I filled out an application for a rental property. The leasing agent would text me about information still needed so I would text her the information.her reply was do not do that send email. She had asked about my cat rabies vaccine so I emailed her what the pet clinic sent me. Her reply was o no it has to be opened so I can see it which I needed to go to the library for assistance. She then texted me about my current landlords email I said we tenants call the office for whatever we need. I gave her the name along with phone number of where I currently live, she then insisted I get it which I did. Not sure what the big deal was for her to call herself. Then she texted me back saying I was denied and gave no apparent reason. Then when someone is approved you have so long to give them the money or you forget your application. I also had to pay for my son who is disabled application fee but in the state of Ohio no need to do that. I also read vinebrook has had court cases and are now under a different name then they were previously. Rex. Scam artists. I think they only choose people who fit in their circle. Not saying my son and I are bad people. I always pay my current rent on time along with maintain my place. Bunch of bs

I thought Vinebrook was a scam until I came on here. I have submitted multiple applications for homes and it sends impossible to rent from these people. I even paid a $40 application fee to see if that would make a difference and nothing! They took the home off the market but it ended up right back on there. I still have not heard back from anyone. I've called them multiple times and was advised I would receive emails and still have not heard from anyone. This company is a joke I will look elsewhere especially after seeing all these other negative reviews.

The home itself that I rented was not to bad. The problem is that with this corporation owning the home, they don't seem to care about real solutions to the issues that come up. Just temporary fixes to keep you in the home. The plumbing in my house was horrible. Maintenance had to be called several times over the 3 year period to fix leaks. The water pressure was low. you could not have water running in more than one area of the house or there was a problem. I was not able to actually speak with someone with Vinebrook the entire time i was living there. Only answering services as stated by others. Not to mention there are several things with this house that you have to pay to repair/upkeep on your own. Read your lease agreement in full. If you call for a small repair, chances are you are responsible with no reimbursement. I wouldn't rent from them again. Actually if I rent again, I will avoid homes owned by corporations. Vinebook owns a lot of the homes that they "manage". So they have a vested interest in passing off repair cost to the tenant.

I've been renting in the same place for a lot of years because I love the neighborhood. Vinebrook took over the property which wasn't sn issue. I've never had any problems with maintenance or the request I've submitted, my complaint is the utility and rent combined as one now. First you not really sure what you're supposed to be paying. I contacted Conservice got one quote then called Vinebrook and got two different quote. In the neighborhood i stay in there's no way my utility bill is 520.00 this is terrible. Its just me and I'm hardly home. A two bedroom 1 bath home 1 level you're telling me utility bill is 520.00 for one month. I've been paying my utility bill before Vinebrook decided to take over and combine it with the rent. Then on top of that we're being charge for conservice handling the utility bill when it wasn't our decision. 9.99 fee for their service we're having to pay
