This complaint is in regard to our wedding held on November 6th, 2021. We utilized this caterer due to the positive reviews that we had read. We paid for the services in full before the wedding. On the day of, the caterer was 1.5 hours late. We paid for 175 guests worth of food and only 135 people showed. Only about half our guests received the full plate of food. The food was cold. I received reports of guests chicken not being cooked all the way. The green beans were raw. We did not receive the bread that we paid for nor the water service. One of their staff members was caught visibly inebriated. There is venue security footage of their staff hiding venue items in bushes outside the venue, as well as venue security footage of them stealing a large cooler and two galvanized tubs that have yet to be returned to the venue despite the venues attempts to have them returned. The lead caterer, *******, assaulted the venue owner during our reception. Their staff got into an argument with a guest of ours. Two staff members were caught outside making out when they should have been serving food to our guests. We were required to pay 195 dollars in stolen china to another rental service for our plates, mugs, and silverware. The lead caterer confronted me during the wedding and asked me to "understand that they booked five weddings that day" which would explain the lower quality/inadequacy of the food. We have attempted to contact Chef **** via phone, text, and voice mails, as well as email regarding our concerns. We have also attempted to reach ******* via email. None of our attempts have returned any responses. A full list of complaints is attached below.Initial Complaint

My husband and I hired Tasteful Occasions to cater our wedding November 5th, 2021. We paid over 4,000 dollars for his catering service and his employees messed up everything. We had high expectations going into our wedding day because our tasting with chef ******* a few months prior went so well. However, when it came to the most important day his company really failed us. To start, we were promised that the caterers would show up 2 hours before our ceremony.. they showed up 10 minutes before our cocktail hour. They called our wedding venue coordinator and were so rude to her telling her she needed to go and find their van and help them get to the venue because they were lost and were cussing up a storm at her. Once they got to the venue for cocktail hour, they did not bring enough bread for our bruschetta that we ordered and paid for. So guests couldn’t even eat the bruschetta so the dish was wasted, just like my money. They also didn’t bring enough silverware to the venue, which we paid an upcharge for to have a certain kind. They then stole silverware from our venue without asking. They also still had to go out and buy more from a local store. Our dinner was supposed to be served plated style and we talked to chef ******* about that too. They served it buffet style and acted like they didn’t know anything about the plated dinners even though they had my seating chart with food orders in front of them. The caterers spilled food on two guests. The caterers cussed in front of our guests. They didn’t bus tables. We ordered chicken Marsala and had ordered plenty extra. So why did they start cutting the chicken into small pieces so guests didn’t get enough to eat? Well, chef ******* said that’s weird because they came back with an extra tray of untouched chicken.. why didn’t that get used then? They were supposed to bring plates and silverware for the cake and they didn’t. Chef ******* has been avoiding our texts and phone calls for months.Initial Complaint

Wedding 10/23/2021, caterer brought wrong items and incorrect items. Ex: we ordered 2 large charcuterie boards and received 2 plastic store bought vegetable trays. They also did not bring enough food for our guests when we kept the count at 120 and under 100 showed (we paid for food to feed more than expected on purpose, there’s no food near the venue). When owner **** finally got in contact with us about the night, he was apologetic and offered $1,000 refund due to their errors. He said we should receive the refund within 2 weeks and have yet to receive any correspondence or the compensation that was agreed upon. Since then, he is non responsive and we have yet to receive any sort of refund for the services and goods we did not receive. Prior to **** contacting us, our only point of contact ******* accused us of extortion and harassment because we left a truthful google review about OUR personal experience with this company. We paid a total of $3,280.85. I have the text message exchange from the day the owner finally called us up until now.
