I have a checking and saving account for over 20 years at Eaton. My computer was hacked, over $1000.00 ws taken from my account, Eaton says that because I called the suspectyed hacker that I became a participant and could not refund my money. Why would anyone think that talking to someone is telling them to steal your identity /money.

The credit union has been filing to credit bureaus that I am delinquent on my car loan. I have not missed a payment towards the credit union except the month of January 2022. My daughter and I was diagnosed with COVID-19 and have been recovering. I have been contacting the credit union since October asking them to not take my child tax credit towards my car payment but they continued to do so. In the past the credit union would also move my money in my savings account into my car loan without my permission. I've told them on multiple occasions to not move my money without my permission. I have tried to contact them via phone but I have not received a call yet. I was emailing a man named Kelly S***** and asked to be called for more details and clarification but I have not been called after numerous phone calls. Kelly S***** says I owe $782 and some change. Each month since October I have been flagged for late even though the company has pulled $300.00 from my account. The company will even flag my account for being late without it being even 30 days.

The credit union reports the accurate payment history on all loan accounts to 4 major Credit Bureaus on a regular basis, All borrowers are responsible for meeting the agreed upon repayment terms of the signed loan agreement. If the terms of the loan agreement are not being met, the credit union reserves the right to offset the payments from any other account held by the member as per the terms of the signed loan agreement. All accounts are reviewed for accuracy upon request from the member and the member is then notified of the findings. The above referenced complaint has been reviewed and resolved in accordance with our standard policies and procedures.
Several credit union employees have spoken with the complainant on multiple occasions to resolve her complaints. Due the privacy laws, we cannot speak about the specifics of this complaint, but we are always willing to work with our members to provide satisfactory resolutions.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

In October 2021 I contacted Eaton Credit Union and spoke to a male in the loan department. I notified the male representative I am receiving my child tax credit and to use this months credit towards my car loan. Ever since the month of October 2021 Eaton credit union moves my child tax credit to pay for my car loan. My car loan payments are due on the 8th of each month with a grace period until the 18th (after that date you will receive a late fee). I noticed that Eaton has contacted the credit bureaus stating I am 30 days past my due date before the 30 days. I have tried to connect with someone in the office since then and I did speak to a man again the end of November asking to stop taking my child tax credit and he told me he would return my child tax credit once my balance on my car loan is up to date. Since then when I contact the loan department to speak to someone no one answers the call. If I have been directed to Kelly's voicemail and I have left two voicemails and have not received a phone call back. Instead I was emailed, and when I responded I did not receive a response back. I have emailed back to back and still to this date I have not received an email nor a phone call regarding my complaint.

      Regards,
