4/24/2023 my car was taken to supper muffler to have the alternator changed. The mechanic broke something and would not show it to me! It took multiple trips from advance auto parts to find something to rig it with . A short time later where this mechanic broke something it broke again and now is making noise when the car is moved. My car is not usable it never made any noise till this person touched it . The owner said it was up to me to get my car back to his shop after his junior mechanic damaged it. I am not paying for their mistakes! I took my vehicle in for a repair not more damage. Supper muffler needs to pay a reputable shop to fix my car as they are not trustworthy and the owner was completely disrespectful and combative to me.Business response

In closed, copy of repair bill, wanting estimate on other repairs ( called 05/01/23) on 5/11/23 customer called complaining about front end noise that we caused told to bring in so we could look at, he refused that, as you can see on 5/1/23 wanted estimate on motor mounts causing noise? His diagnose on 4/24/23 the part from advance was original equipment not rigged,m i bolt 1st one from advance the threads were not right thats why we got the 2nd one.

I am rejecting this response because: I am not going to be out any other additional monies as caused by this company. The addition of the request for motor mounts has nothing to do with parts that were removed and potentially damaged and put back on. There was no notes of any issues of any kind with what they worked on needing attention. The car broke down shortly after being in their shop. This is untrue they had 2 trips to get the correct bolt. Why not the correct one the first time? Ford didn't use different parts on cars of the same make and year. This shows the incompetence of the repair. This shows there was something wrong and they needed to fix it on the fly and would use this excuse the car had issues. Yet no notes of ANY issue! I was sitting there and the delivery man from advanced auto parts passed in front of me several times NOT 2 as stated by this owner! Looking on other reviews there doesn't seem to be many good reviews of this shops work. I offered to allow them to have the car picked up at their expense to which I was told it doesn't work like that! That is a sign of a unwillingness to rectify an issue caused by this shop. It appears I am left with no recourse then to have another shop examine the car photograph everything and estimate the cost of repairs to the damage caused.. The rude way I have been treated and now the almost month between the complaint and reply is unacceptable.

I wanted to make sure it was established the owner has been combative and rude hanging up on me several times unwilling to find an equitable solution. I didn't cause this damage. The vibrations from the worn motor mounts have nothing to do with something broken in the passenger front wheel assembly that was disassembled to do repair and caused damage.The owner contradicts himself saying the part was delivered in 1 trip then says it was the wrong thread. They had the cars VIN # there should have been no mistake in getting the correct part the first time! Inept It took several trips not just 1 as the owner states and then changes it to 2 trips due to the wrong thread. There was no notes of any issues of the repair area. I have my original receipt that doesn't have the additional writing on it that has been added by the owner.
I paid a professional mechanic that has a reputable shop here in town come tonight and assess the car. The wheel bearing was not torqued to the proper torque setting set by Ford at 180 ft-lbs and the nut has backed off the axle half shaft almost falling off. The lower control arm is now also damaged. I am booked into this reputable shop to do the needed repairs due to the deceit of this owner! The true nature of the damage can not be told until the car is put up on the lift and the broken parts are removed and replaced properly and torqued to manufacturer specs.I have included a picture of the axle nut almost worked its way off the half shaft. I am darn lucky the wheel didn't fall off. Due to this negligence I expect super muffler to pay for all repairs to be completed at the reputable shop.

As seen by the owner's reply he has contradicted himself by saying the part was delivered the first time and then says it was the wrong thread and had to get a different one. It was several trips to get a part to rig the car with, hence it breaking so quickly! This owner is shady and will say anything to get out of responsibility for their negligence. He has been aggressive and combative and unwilling to work to find an equitable solution for all. I am not paying a tow bill for them to repair their mistake. That is a deal breaker. ****** *******
