Today 2/29/24 at 1:45pm a representative in a GreenPro Lawns pickup truck placed a hanging flyer (a doorknob-style hanging advertisement) on my mailbox (free-standing mailbox, not a mail slot in the door). According to the USPS, "You are not allowed to affix anything to them, including flyers, [...] and advertisements," source: **************** Just because GreenPro is providing yard service to an address across the street does not give them permission to violate USPS rules by putting advertisements on a neighboring mailbox.Business response

We apologize for the inconvenience of hanging a door hanger on the mail box. We have notified all employees that door hangers are to be applied to door knobs or under a doormat. However, the employee was not aware of this being illegal for reason of seeing other companies and advertisements hanging on the outside of mailboxes. (i.e. Advertiser)Customer response
