On May 3rd, Martin quoted a 2 day job to install 24 recessed lights, 3 outlets, a junction for a ceiling fan, 2 junctions for island pendant lights, and a wall insert to enable hanging of a Samsung Frame TV that mounts flush to the wall. He asked for 50% up front and another ~25% after day 1, which was 7/21, as planned. Day 1 he was an hour late, cut holes for 8 recessed lights, and installed an outlet. (1 item out of 31 completed) Day 2 he was nearly 4 hours late and installed the wall insert and 2 outlets. (3 items total out of 31 completed) Day 3 of the 2 day job he was over 1.5 hours late and blind drilled into a hot water line that flooded our living room. After submitting a claim to his insurance we had him leave for the day and followed up 2 days later terminating our arrangement and requesting a refund due to the issues noted above. He has not responded to a single email or text and appears to have taken our money and run.Business response

As a response to the said job. There are other jobs as well as this one that sometimes run into other jobs. We do the best we can to not be late for timeframes but it happens. Sometimes the customers become demanding and make completing jobs difficult because they hover and try to tell me how to do my job, this slows the projects down tremendously and throws timelines off and they cannot be completed in the timeframe that we had hoped. The damage done could have happened to anyone and I was assured that there were no water lines present on this side by the homeowner. We will rectify this situation the best we can. I tried to go in while the house was being built to install all these before the drywall and ceilings were present so the wiring would be done and the homeowner insisted there would be holes pre drilled and it would be no problem… only the holes were facing in the wrong direction, so drilling blindly was my only option… I had every intention of finishing and making this look great, when the homeowner decided to message and demand a refund 2 days later… gave bad reviews and contacted anyone he could. I’m a small business that does their best to do the very best job for every customer and some customers are less than cooperative and very difficult.Customer response

I accept the business's response to resolve this complaint. The business has committed to a partial reimbursement by 9/9 with remaining payment to follow thereafter.
