On March 5, ****** ********** started a tex return with Liberty Tax. He was given a $50 coupon for referrals. He would receive $50 for any filed return that he referred. On March 10, I began a return with them. The young lady was an intern and had an issue with a 1099. I had to return a week later to sign my return and was told the $50 would not be given to my son with no explanation. At that time. The intern also asked if some of my fee could be removed as it was high. I had not asked for the adjustment but was told I owed both federal and state. And was going to have to pay estimated federal tex in 2022. They would print those as well. I paid the amount that was due to Liberty with a credit card That night i received a call that there was an error and i would receive a refund now and needed to resign. I returned to sign and the preparer said that i didn't owe as much as less forms were to be sent on my behalf. The office lady asked the owner to come and see how to adjust it and she said I had just lost it as they had already given me a discount that I hadnt asked for. Again was told that my son would not received the $50 for his referral (even though I pointed to the aign hanging behind the preparer in their office) and also that as they didn't know how to adjust my credit card payment that it just would be lost. A few days later, I stopped to pick up my printed returns and paperwork and brought the issue to their attention. The preparer said that they didnt know how to adjust a credit card payment. I suggested that i would take a check. She took my info and said they would get back and still haven't heard anythingBusiness response

This is Veronica ****** owner of Liberty Tax service. I feel really bad that this consumer had a bad experience with our services. Just so happen I was out of town on this day and not made aware upon return. I have just spoken with Ms. ********** and did my best to rectify the situation. She states that she will be responding to this issue as well tomorrow.Customer response
